ReplyDeleteI first tried a pocket diaper. Its still one of my favorite kinds but I wish it wasn't so easy to make them leak!
ReplyDeleteWhen my daughter was about 4 months old, I tried three different kinds of one-size pocket diapers. Fell in love with BumGenius and use them primarily to this day!
ReplyDeleteI used prefolds ten years ago when my son was born. I just ordered some AIO's for my daughter. I'm so wishing I had made the switch sooner!
ReplyDeleteI first tried one-size pockets like BG 3.0s.

The first diaper I received was a Baby Kanga AIO one size. The first I *used* was a Tiny Tush Chinese Prefold inside of a Thirsties cover.

My first cloth diapers I used were unbleached indian prefolds - that was over a year ago and I'm still using them!!! For some reason I always go back to them.

ReplyDeleteMy first cloth diaper order included prefolds & covers and one FuzziBunz. Loved the prefolds right away.
ReplyDeleteMy baby is due today! Who know when he or she will make an entrance, though. I don't expect a large baby. Anyway, of the diapers I have purchased, I plan to use the newborn Proraps and flat diapers first. They seem to be the smallest/least bulky of the combinations I have. If the baby is bigger than I expect, or when it grows a bit, I have infant size prefolds and Thirsties x-smalls.

ReplyDeleteOur very first diapers were infant-sized prefolds from a diaper service (with a variety of covers). We've since moved on to lots more (and no more service), but prefolds still make up the bulk of our stash, and we LOVE Thirsties covers.
ReplyDeleteI started out with a trial diaper package and I think I used a thirsties fitted with a thirsties cover first. It is still one of my favorite diaper combos!

ReplyDeleteMy first cloth diaper was a Bum Genius onesize 3.0. Started yesterday!
ReplyDeleteMy first cloth diaper was the Bum Genius one size 3.0.
ReplyDeleteThe first cloth diapers I used were prefolds and Bummis Super Whisper Wraps from Cotton Babies. I didn't start cloth diapering my son until he was a year old. This time around, I'm starting from birth, so it will be a new experience!
ReplyDeleteour first diapers, 10 years ago, were prefolds and flats with pins to put in the gerber plastic pants. i still love prefolds, but I HATE the plastic pants. they're awkward, bulky, loud, and leave red marks on babylegs. :-( Hence I'm egads excited about this giveaway.
ReplyDeleteour first cd experience was a generic prefold w/ Thirsties covers. I love thirsties!

ReplyDeleteWe tried Kushies AIOs first... they worked well for the first year, but we didn't know how to care for them and they smelled, cracked, and leaked sometimes... eventually we were using the AIO under a thirsties cover! Now we're CD "experienced" (not experts) and favor BG 3.0 os and fuzzi bunz, and the occasional thirsties AIO!

Hi! Our very first diaper was Thirsties prefolds and Thirsties covers. I sold them to buy our BG stash after my wee babe grew out of them. I'm really sad that Thirsties doesn't make prefolds anymore because I wanted to buy some for the new baby on the way. :(

ReplyDeleteI haven't used cloth diapers yet, but most likely I will be doing a diaper service (we live in an apartment) and using covers. I want to try wool covers and I have heard wonderful things about Thirsties covers!
ReplyDeleteI tried prefolds and covers first, and like them more than I expected to. They're not so difficult after all, and super easy to throw in the wash. I even like my cheapest Prowrap covers better than more expensive ones, too, though I wish they came in colors.

Our first cloth diaper was a GDiaper - if that counts (I used cloth inserts). It failed miserably, so we tried Crickett's Hemp and Kissaluvs. Both of those contained BF poo extremely well.
