ReplyDeleteThe first diaper I used may have been a Baby Kanga AIO or a prefold. I don't remember. We put it on the Imp just before taking him home from the hospital. At that point I hadn't slept in almost three days.. so it's a little fuzzy in my memory!

ReplyDeleteMy first attempt into cloth diapers invovled a "try one of each" kind of package deal- a fitted, a prefold, a pocket, and I think something else.... but I loved the Fuzzi Bunz from the trial, and ended up using a lot more of those with my first baby.
ReplyDeleteThe 1st diaper I tried was a Drybee's AIO

ReplyDeleteI started with contour and prefolds with Bummis covers. It was the cheapest and I could register for them. Right now I'm saving for a big package of Bum Genius AIO.
ReplyDeleteThe first cloth diaper I used was an all-in-one, a Bumgenius diaper I used on a little boy I nannied. I was hooked as soon as I realized it was just as easy to use as a disposable diaper, and that it could be used many many more times.

ReplyDeleteI used a prefold first, but it was a Gerber kind and horrible - it didn't fit my 6 lb infant! So then I switched to fitteds with a cover which I absolutely loved. I also tried pocket diapers, but found that covers with gussets on the legs worked much better. I'm up for trying everything though with the new baby.

ReplyDeleteHi! I am new to cloth diapering, actually haven't started yet, baby #3 due in September. So I have not yet tried a diaper or bought one, but I am wanting to try fitteds and pocket diapers I think. I never knew cloth diapering could be like this. I have a friend that told me about the new ways of cloth diapering. Her youngest daughters are my oldest's age (11 years old).So I am excited to try this out!
