    Doing rough math and considering my favorite disposable (if I absolutely have to buy them) is Huggies...I'd say we save about $60/month.

    well, at this point (my son is 20 months old) we are going through 1 pack of disposables a week. Each pack is @ $9 in this area so that is about $36 a month or $432 a year that I am saving by having him in cloth. YEAH frugality!

    We were started Cloth diapering in August when my daughter was almost 4months old. By cloth diapering we are saving $42-57/mo (depending on the diapers we would by ranging from $7-10 per pack, once every 5days or so)

    Well, right now I am CDing part time while I build up my stash. I was buying my disposables really cheap on sale. I would say I'm saving around $20 a month. But when I go full time, it will be about $30 or $40 a month! Yeah!

    goes through about 6 diapers a day so that's 42 diapers a week an average box of dispoables has between 36 and 46 diapers in it so thats about a box per week. the cheapest box i've seen is $12 so we're saving at least $48 per month using cloth and that's not even factoring in the use of wipes!

    Well, right now I am only using cloth at night on my 3 year old, so 1 diaper a day. I think that would be roughly a pack a month and we used Target brand diapers before we switched so I'm probably only saving $10-15 a month now (the 15 would definitely include wipes) But we'll have a newborn in the house again in just a few short months and at that point it would easily be saving us $40 a month of generic diapers and that's if my 3 year old is staying dry at night by then.

    I'm using disposables on my almost 2 year old. I also use disposable wipes. Hey, 2 years olds can get really dirty and love to make big messes!! I just can't wait until she's fully potty trained. She also attends daycare fulltime, so I feel as if I purchase 2x as many diapers and wipes per month to keep a suppy for home as well as for daycare.

    Well, I guess, if we cloth diapers and used cloth wipes, we would save about $80- $100 per month.

    I think I'm saving about $50 a month. (18 cents per disposable x 10 per day x 30 days = 54 dollars...plus wipes might be another $10?).

    I'm actually not sure if newborn stage I will actually save money over disposables.. but that won't stop me - money isn't the reason. I believe Med size (that last a while and with one sizes) and higher I will save a bunch somewhere in the neighborhood of 000s.

    Probably $60-70/month with cloth diapers and wipes... especially since with disposables my kids need Pampers due to tiny, sensitive bottoms.

    At this rate, we're saving about $17 a month. But, with out next child, it'll be even more because we won't have to pay for any more cloth diapers. (Especially if I keep winning them!!)

    We were spending an average of $30 a month on wipes and Huggies (we buy bulk). Honestly, I have yet to make my money back yet on cloth diapering - I have 9 diapers and have been doing this for 4 months so I am currently in the hole - :( But once baby number 2 comes along, I know we will be recouping our cost and starting to save around $30 a month minus the water and detergent bill (plus our toddler will be able to use the one size diapers for bedtime as she is currently toilet training - so I won't be buying pull ups or diapers just for her- so the savings will increase)

    I would spend around 28.99/box of diapers. I would go through that ever 2 weeks. So I'd save around $60/month & break even on diapers with what I have in about 2.5 months. Plus saving on gas if I have to make a seperate trip if we run out too quickly.

    I'm afraid to calculate what I do/don't save each month. I have two kids in cloth, so that makes up for a lot, but I use coin-op washers and I spend about $5 a week just on washing. But I'm okay with that, as the reasons I chose cloth were environmental, health, and cuteness factor. Saving money is just a bonus, if I save any at all.

    I am thinking we will be saving between 60 - 75 $ a month once the newest is born. I am not sure I will cloth diaper the first week, but after that I usually get in my groove and probably will be so excited to withhold from using my new fluff!!!

    I spent $50/month on disposable diapers and wipes before switching to cloth, and that doesn't include the cost of garbage pickup, garbage bags (which were more costly than power to wash diapers in our HE washer), or the mess of bedding that needed to be laundered almost daily due to disposable blowouts. Perhaps a half hour more of my time to wash diapers 3x a week, but better spent washing than cleaning up blowouts! Once we calculate in the resale value of the diapers (and/or reusability for our next child), it adds up to at least $1800 (not to mention, NO BLOWOUTS in cloth), depending on when our child(ren) are potty trained and how many children we have.

    I'm saving at least $50 every month, not only am I not buying disposable diapers (at least $40 a month), but I also don't buy disposable wipes & I don't need 2 tubes of rash cream each month like I did when she was in disposables.

    I think I'm actually also doing LESS laundry because she no longer has daily poop blowouts all over her clothes.

    Before switching to cloth we were going through a $9 pack of diapers every 6-7 days, so we're saving about $35-50 every month, and that's not figuring the wipes savings.

    At one point I figured up the total cost so I could tell others, and then averaging that out I say we'll save about $50 a month once our little man arrives. BUT I've been able to find some used diapers in excellent condition, which will make the cost even cheaper than I originally figured :)

    When we buy we get the cheapo Kroger brand (with a coupon) they're about $6/pack - I have no idea how many we'd actually use, nor how many are actually in the pack, so I'll just say for both boy, approximately, $15/week?

    Right now I think we are saving close to $40/month but once the new baby gets here and we have 2 in diapers again it would be at least $80/month savings! I was especially grateful to be a cloth diapering mama when my husband was laid off for this very reason!

    If I could always get Huggies for $9 a pack and my lo went through them at a rate of a pack a week, I would have saved roughly $15/month over the course of our cloth diapering experience (3 months through potty training @ 26 months). However, for baby #2 that will be arriving any day now, the savings will be MUCH greater b/c I won't have to buy very many new diapers, and I know what I like so I won't be tempted to buy so many different types.

    Hmmm I know you guys have comment moderation enabled, but I still don't see my original post! I wrote it earlier today.... something along the lines of not remembering exactly how much we're saving. I did the math a long time ago...

    Probably somewhere between $30 and $40. We have #2 coming in a week, so I KNOW the savings will start racking up then!! I'm hoping to do cloth wipes with him, too, as I remember going through SOOO many wipes when DD was newborn!!

    I'm guessing we'd be spending about $70-$80 a month for our 3 little guys. The oldest only needs nighttime diapering, next in line is being potty trained, and then the baby in diapers full time. I haven't been keeping up with the prices of sposies though so I might be way off.

    We are just brand new at cloth diapering... so far I have not had any savings b/c I have spent more in cloth diapers than I would have in disposals.... BUT I hope after I get my stash all situated... to save about $45 a month... $540 a year and if he doesn't potty train until 3.. that is $1620.... WOW that is more than I paid for my mini van!!!!

    Right now (part-time CDing) we are saving about $15 or $20. When we go full-time we will save about $40. With a newborn, it would be closer to $50!!!

    We are starting to purchase our stash of cloth diapers and since we wanted to do a variety of prefolds, all in ones and one size diapers it is a little higher than say all prefolds. We are expecting to spend around $20 a month to wash them including the purchase of detergent. If we were to purchase disposable diapers it would be around $80 a month.

    In the first year we would have spent:
    $400 for cloth diaper stash
    $240 for washing and detergent

    which is $ 640 compared to $960, so about $320 or $26 a month the first year and then $60 a month afterwards.

    We look forward to decreasing our waste and giving our child the best with cloth diapers.

    I am saving somewhere around $30 a month by using cloth diapers and wipes. My stash is still paying for itself, because we have only been CD for 4 months. We are excited that we are expecting another baby and will be able to use our CD stach for another baby!

    We didn't switch to cloth til our son was 15 months. Considering the amount we spent to get everything we needed for cloth, we are not saving money YET. We would like to have more kids though, so it should eventually pay off big.

    Our (used to be) favorite disposables were pampers swaddlers. They were $12 for 42...(newborn size) so probably around 50 a month.

    I save about $50 a month using cloth diapers. I made most of my baby's diapers and he's been wearing the mediums for about a year now. I've spent less than $200 on all fabric, used diapers I've bought, and covers. He is now 18 months old and I still have enough fabric to finish off his stash when he needs a size large. I'll spend another $20-30 on large covers and then we'll be done.

    We are new to cloth diapering, but I have estimated that by buying one size cloth diapers at a one time up front cost, we will save about $40-50 per month in comparison to buying disposables!

    I think I'm saving close to $50 a month as compared to using Costco or Wal-Mart brand disposables and wipes- I'm using prefolds, fitteds I sewed out of recycled fabric, and Thirsties and Proraps covers. Plus a few other misc. diapers.
