  1. My diaper would be a pocket diaper. It would have super-soft velour of some kind inside, and the outside would be waterproof pul. It would have a touchtape closure but would also have the option for snaps instead. It would be a one size diaper and it would come in all my favorite colors.

  5. Hmm, me perfect diaper... That's hard. It would be sized, all in one, have deep rich colors. The inside would be hemp or organic cotton. I think I would choose snaps, but with a lot more variability than there usually is with snaps.

    ReplyDelete
  6. The perfect diaper would be a very absorbant fitted dipe made with bamboo that snaps and doesn't leave marks on babies belly.

  11. I would pick an AIO style with a suede-cloth lining, but organic cotton layers for absorbency, a PUL outer, with a trimmer fit (similar to BG Organic AIO OS fit and absorbency, but with a stay-dry layer on top). One-size would be okay, but sized options would be even better.

    ReplyDelete
  12. My perfect diaper would have snap closures (or velcro that doesn't wear out), soft fleece on the outside and microsuede as the lining. It would also be self cleaning!

  14. It would be a one-size with snaps. a snap in liner for extra protection but with a pocket as well. I like the velor and large wings with snaps, kind of like the baby kicks. I would want it to have a PUL outer layer so you don't have to use a cover in cute colors. Also like the new fuzzi bunz you can easily take out the elastic once it's worn. =)

  18. Let's see...my perfect diaper would be a super-absorbent fitted diaper (so I can let my kids run coverless at home or cover it up and run errands without any worries of leaks) with snap closures and a cute knit outer fabric. It would also have to be all natural fibers, as I hate microfiber and can never get rid of the stink!

    ReplyDelete
  19. My perfect diaper would be an AIO with bamboo soaker/liner and a wool cover, with snaps!

  24. I like snap closures. A one size. Maybe adjustable elastic in the legs. Soft fleece or similar fabric on the inside. Lots of colors you don't see often and some really fun patterned prints. A pocket diaper.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Ideal diaper...an intensely cute pattern (bandana fabric design, or argyle) velcro-closing PUL cover with some sort of lay-in insert. Fits a good range of size but not necessarily one-size. Any snaps to adjust size MUST match fabric, not be white.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I can't decide what the best of it all would be. I do have one size pockets and AIOs, and I like them for different things. I'm not sure I could get baby to lay still for snaps, so I'd use 'velcro' and have the pul on the outside and super soft and clean cushy on the inside. It would wash really cleanly and have a rainbow of colors that would work for boys or girls (bright red, deep purple).

    ReplyDelete
  27. It would be an all in one, with velcro closure...and a decent size, I find that my not so large baby is outgrowing things far before the supposed weight limit!

    ReplyDelete
  28. My perfect diaper would have snaps around the legs to ensure a tight fit, snaps around the hips, a nice soft absorbent but NOT super bulky!

    adventuresofanalicat at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  29. Velcro, touchtape closure would be a must. So convenient! It should have a really soft lining, and be a one size diaper with fun, bright colors.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I would make a OS pocket diaper like the BG 3.0 except with snap closure. The diaper would come in some adorable & very bright prints & a whole rainbow of colors. It would have different insert options including some with bamboo & hemp.....and the diaper would be low $$ and sold in most grocery stores & BRU.

  31. Perfect diaper:

Snaps (a must have for babies who take off diapers in our house)

Pocket Diaper with Soft organic bamboo velour inner...

One Size with easy to adjust waist for my super skinny babies

CUTE prints.. like mushrooms or owls..

  39. My ideal diaper would have the flexibility of velcro, but could also lock so prying fingers couldn't take it off!!! Pocket diaper with a very thin hemp insert and great moisture wicking to keep baby dry.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Getting your newsletter too :-)

    ReplyDelete
  41. My perfect diaper would be a OS pocket with a fabric outer (hidden PUL). Velour inner with bamboo as the aborbant insert. I think I'm gonna go for aplix as the closure. :D

    ReplyDelete
  42. My diaper would have PUL on the outside, snaps for closure. It would be a pockets style, because of drying time. And bamboo insert for absorbency. Plus it would be really cute on a little behind :-)

    ReplyDelete
  43. My diaper would be a trim-fitting AIO with an optional pocket. The lining would be a soft, non-synthetic material, the exterior would be PUL in a huge line of colors and prints.

Best of all, the tabs would be easily replaceable so you can exchange the velcro for snaps, or switch out the old velcro when it started curling.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Bamboo diaper with snaps, most definitely

  46. I haven't gotten to try cloth diapering yet, so I'm not sure what the perfect addition would be, but I'd probably want the perfect diaper to have a recording that would announce, "No, I don't want your input on my "alternative parenting' choices, nor am I claiming your methods are flawed by choosing to do something different than you did."

hah, can you tell I'm getting a lot of pushback for wanting to CD?

  50. My diaper would be a pocket diaper with an option with snaps. Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  51. My ideal diaper. Pul outer wrapping cover, one size, side snapping, with the leg gussets like thirsties have. I'd like the OS adjustments to be the invisible kind (like rocky mountain) and for it to come in swirly prints like the bastian rumparooz, and DSQ prefold on the inside. Better yet, bamboo prefold.

    ReplyDelete
  52. My perfect diaper would be a one-size pocket fitted. It would adjust with the elastic instead of a snap-down-rise, including adjustable waist elastic. Snap closure. The inner would be a stay dry material. It would also have leg gussets that don't leave red marks on little legs.

    ReplyDelete
  53. @fentonslee follows @diapershops

    ReplyDelete
  54. The Perfect Diaper?!?! How fun! The perfect diaper would be a pocket, but a very easy to stuff one where the insert never gets twisted. It would have a bamboo or hemp insert. Snaps or velcro like on the Happy Heiny's, not the Bum Genius velcro. Definitely one size. PUL outer, fleece inner.
And bright, bold colors! I'm thinking Cobalt!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I love Bamboo. I love snaps. and i love AIOs. but I also love OS. So it would be a variation for the BG Organic OS AIO snap closure dipaer, with bamboo incorporated in. :)

    ReplyDelete
  56. I have not used cloth diapers yet, so I don't know what I prefer in a diaper. Right now, my preference would be organic, one size, probably hemp. It would be a pocket diaper with snaps. And it would be the color green!

  59. I would want a pocket diaper with velcro. I think a jean or cord material on the outside would be cute.

    ReplyDelete
  60. The perfect diaper would be a *truly* one-size fitted made of bamboo velor. It would have snap-in inserts of different thicknesses to choose from. The closure would be snaps - definitely snaps. The resin/pastic/whatever kind. And it would have enough snaps so that "wing droop" wouldn't be nearly as common. Of course, this perfect diaper would need a perfect cover. It'd be one-size as well. Something soft on the outside, wipe-off PUL on the inside. The closure would also be snaps. Whee!

  61. Pocket diapers, one size, velcro & pretty colors.

    ReplyDelete
  62. My ultimate would be a one-size pocket diaper with aplix that didn't wear out quickly and was very slim fitting.

    ReplyDelete
  63. My perfect diaper is a snapping, one-size PUL pocket with either a suedecloth or a really high quality, anti-pilling fleece liner. I'd want at least two inserts, a bigger one and a perfectly sized one (not too thin, either!) for use on the small settings. It would come in bright colors and fun prints for boys and girls.

    ReplyDelete
  64. And I'm a subscriber to the blog.

    ReplyDelete
  65. My perfect diaper would be a combo of a one size pocket diaper or AI2s - you can easily take the inserts out without putting your hand inside the pockets. The inserts would be hemp, PUL cover, side snaps, either microsuede lining but fleece on the sides.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Hmmm... My perfect dipe would probably be a super absorbent yet trim fitted but it would have some sort of lining to the inside to keep my baby feeling dry. I would top it with the most adorable fleece soakers I could find/ make!

    - the color would be chocolate brown

  83. Perfect diaper? Hmmm...the perfect diaper for my little bitty would be a combination--it would be waterproof like an AIO. It would be stuffable like a pocket. Hook or snap closures--no velcro or hook and loop to get stuck on stuff or stop functioning. Bright colors and infinitely adjustable from newborn on up!

    ReplyDelete
  88. My perfect diaper would be a combo of a fitted and a pocket. I love how easy pockets are but fitteds fit my little girl so much better. I'd want it trim, with a hidden layer of PUL and an outer layer of fabric(cotton or flannel) with snaps, OS would be the best, and I'd want something soft inside, fleece has been our favorite so far with microfiber and/or fleece(microfleece) stuffer.

Applix closure - baby is too squirmy for snaps. :) But closing in the sides - with a side snapping style closure - keeps little hands from givibg a yank :)

  103. Pocket diaper, fleece inside. Snaps or really strong velcro. Bold, bright colors. Insert of bamboo or hemp. And if the poop magically came of completely every time with no spraying or dunking, well that would be AWESOME!

    ReplyDelete
  104. My diaper would be a pocket diaper. It would be made of a very soft hemp, the outside would be waterproof PUL. It would also be treated so you could use a rash cream on it and have a poop repellant so the poopies would just fall off the diaper. No liner needed. It would definitely have snaps and would be thin enough that pants could fit over it with no problem. I would have numerous patterns and come on a variety of solid colors also. :)

    ReplyDelete
  105. My perfect diaper would be a os pocket diaper. It would have elastic leg adjustments like fuzzibunz, a smart sleeve like smaritpants, a hemp with microfiber top insert, snap closure and a bright color or print pul outer layer.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I would definitely want something that's very trim and I love bamboo.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I love using natural fibers on my baby's bottom, but I also love using FuzziBunz One size diapers, so I would love to have a FB made with natural fibers. That sounds like the best of both worlds.

Snap closures, lots of fun patterns and colors. The insert would be hemp with lots and lots of absorbency!

    ReplyDelete
  122. My diaper would be a pocket diaperwith all the inserts I would ever need. It would have snaps because my dd loves to unfasten velcro. It would be one size and gender neutral.
