I'm in desperate need of a sprayer! Right now I am dunking and swishing, yuck! The things you do for your little ones:)
ReplyDeleteI don't personally deal with messy diapers yet, but the diaper sprayer is what pushed my H over into the "we can cloth diaper" camp. It looks like a wonderful, wonderful invention!
ReplyDeleteWe will be using flushable liners which will be especially great when we are out running errands. I also plan to purchase a sprayer for those times when the liners just can't contain the mess!
ReplyDeleteI am already a blog follower
ReplyDeletei use flushable liners. they work great unless the poop is not so solid
ReplyDeleteWe deal with messy diapers by the old dunk and swish method, and I have a small soap dispenser with my liquid laundry detergent in it to pre-treat the diapers before they go in the pail.
ReplyDeleteWe've been using cloth diapers for nine months now (baby is 9 and 1/2 months old).

ReplyDeletehere's my tweet
I try and get what I can off with a shake into the toilet and what I can't, I dunk. Not with my whole hand, mind you, just the layer that's dirty. I've been known to try to do it via the shower head, but that just saturates the diaper without getting much off. Really could use a diaper sprayer!!!

ReplyDeleteWe use our hand held shower head for the moment here. It actually reaches our toilet. It's a pain and I desperately need a diaper sprayer, but for the time being, it works. :)

ReplyDeleteI have been using cloth diapers for about 2 1/2 months. My daughter is 15 weeks old, but I was way overwhelmed with everything at first and did not venture with the cloth right away. Now I feel like I have a good handle on things and I love the diapers! With the next baby I will definitely order some XS and cloth diaper the whole way!

ReplyDeleteHow do I deal with messy diapers? Right now I do nothing because my baby is EBF so I just throw the poopy ones in the wash without any effort at all. :)
ReplyDeleteI just started feeding my son solids today so up to now I have just been able to throw messy diapers in the washer. I am thinking about investing in a diaper sprayer though.

I actually ordered from two places today! Kellyscloset (KC- 37648) and Bulk Cloth Diaper (AB- 1242) for Smartipants seconds, BG 3.0s, a free BG with the coupon (thanks guys!!) and a diaper pail liner!!!
ReplyDeleteI dump in the toilet and use a sprayer.
ReplyDeleteWe use toilet paper to remove everything we can and cold rinse in the washer at the end of the day (to conserve water for multiple diapers).
ReplyDeleteHaven't figured that one out yet. I have a 2 year old that has very mushy poop and it doesn't just shake off. I have done the old school method of dunking in the toilet but I'm not lovin' that, I would love to win this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI've been CDing (my 3 month old, 2 year old and 4 year old at night) for exactly 1 week and 4 days.
ReplyDeleteI currently use a little bit of toilet paper to clean the mess out of the diaper. It's nice and easy if everything is pretty solid, but it's definitely unpleasant if the diaper is extra messy. I could really use a diaper sprayer for the extra messy diapers.
ReplyDeleteI have been using cloth diapers on my daughter for 13 months now.

ReplyDeleteMost of the messes have either gone straight in the wash. Recently we've had a few that could just shake off into the toilet, but a diaper sprayer would sure help for what I know is coming!

ReplyDeletek.hofferberth at gmail dot com
I use disposable liners, sometimes even select-a-size paper towels. But it doesn't always hold it all on the inner leg or up the back. I just wipe-wipe the diaper mess with TP and flush or other cloth and dispose of it if out.

ReplyDeleteMy husband made me a diaper sprayer out of a kitchen faucet sprayer and I love it! I used to princess dunk (grab a corner and try not to touch anything) but after 5 kids I don't really care what gets on my hands. Poo's probably not the worst thing that's been on there. My friend just went back to cloth and wants one so bad so if I win this I'm passing it on to her so she can have the spray love too!

ReplyDeleteI am brand new at cloth diapering and waiting for my diapers to come in the mail, I would love to try this because frankly, I don't yet know what to do with the solids!
ReplyDeletei heart the diaper sprayer! it is the best. my son is older, so his BMs are a little more regular, but if we are out and about or i know one is coming, i will sometimes use a flushable liner, just because i sometimes feel lazy! they work great now that he's older. with breastmilk poos...not so much. ;) if i win this diaper sprayer, i plan on giving it to a new momma friend who i convinced to use cloth.....and i gave her two beautiful FuzziBunz but no sprayer! i think EVERY CD mom needs a sprayer!!

We have been using cloth diapers since my son was 4 months old, so 17 months now! wow! we started with gDiapers but they just did not work for us. i was still having the leaking and blowout issues that i had with sposies. so i went to bumGenius and have not had one single blowout since! only leaks are due to operator error. ;)

I couldn't live without my disposable inserts! I just throw the little poo package right in the toilet and the diaper in the wetbag! So easy!

ReplyDeleteI use a mini-shower/dog washing sprayer to rinse off the particularly messy diapers into the toilet. This can be tricky since there's no real way to control the water pressure!

ReplyDeleteLooks like I great invention. I was planning on using liners, but this could be handy when the liners aren't enough or when he's first born and the poo is too runny for a liner.
ReplyDeleteright now, since baby is still EBF I just throw in the pail to be washed. I wash every other day and since he rarely poops it's not a big problem ... yet. I know it will only get more difficult, and would love to win a sprayer. :)
