After many tries we have a few different options we use for nighttime diapering:
ReplyDelete1)BG's Flip with Organic Insert
2)Drybees Fleece Pocket with Flip Organic Insert
3)Kiwi Pie OS Fitted with Wool
I thought night diapering would be so much harder- but it's really not that scary!
Night-time:
ReplyDeleteBummis Super Whisper Wrap (seem too stiff to use during the day...), or Baby Beehinds Wool Cover
non-trimmed prefold (so there's extra folded down in the front...I used trimmed ones during the day)
plus a Thirsties brand hemp contoured doubler. I don't think they make those anymore.
The other day my DH put him down for bed and used a regular daytime diaper (trimmed prefold w/ Thirsties cover) and it did not leak.

ReplyDeleteI use the BG OS pockets and use one insert and one newborn insert in the pocket. It's working well for my 10 month old. For my 2 1/2 year olds night time dipe, I use the same one, only w/ two newborn inserts. never had a leak.

ReplyDeleteWe use BG one size pockets with three doublers
ReplyDeleteFuzzi Bunz (medium right now) with a contoured hemp/cotton Rainforest Babies insert and a microterry Mother of Eden rectangular insert. Better than a "nighttime" disposable!
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog.
ReplyDeleteI actually use SmartiPants (pocket)! But I stuff with a prefold and hemp insert otherwise it will leak.

ReplyDeleteI use the Flip diaper system, and layer an extra liner from my stash on top of theirs. I find that my BG and HH tend to leak, but the Flip haven't so far.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Facebook fan! And I think I may have submitted my original comment twice - sorry!

ReplyDeleteFor my nighttime routine I'm just switching from prefolds plus an insert and cover, to a pocket method.
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm using all one size diapers, either the BG 3.0, the Kissaluv Marvel, or the Fuzzibunz. So far I like them all but am leaning towards the BG with two inserts for my heavy wetter.
Don't judge me, but I use disposables. :) I have tried a couple different things and none have worked. Even disposables don't always.

BumGenius 3.0 One size
ReplyDeleteWe Use BG 3.0 AIO with a BG micro terry insert and he is dry as can be in themorning.
ReplyDeleteAt night we have been using a Fuzzibunz OS with the infant insert. Now that my son is almost 4 months that isn't quite cutting it, I think I will try adding a second microfiber or maybe hemp insert.

ReplyDeleteI use a double stuffed Rump-a-rooz pocket diaper at night. If I'm out of rumps, I use a double stuffed Bumgenius but my dd sometimes leaks out the bumgenius. i have a lot of success w/ the rumps because of the double leg gussets!
ReplyDeleteMonkey Snuggles one-size bamboo fitted (the new overnight style with super-huge inserts) and a cover (currently Kissaluvs marvel because it doesn't fit right with the not-huge diapers).
ReplyDeleteHi. We use G Diapers with disposable inserts at night. So far this is working well, but I think as baby gets bigger will need something more absorbent that will get us thru the night. Baby is just 8wks so still waking/changing pretty frequently!
ReplyDeleteFor nighttime we like to use the bumGenius AIO, that has the hidden pocket. I stuff a prefold inside. If not that, then the Flip with the Stay Dry insert and a prefold underneath.
ReplyDeletei placed an order today 4.16:

ReplyDeleteI diaper my 4 month old in a OS FuzziBunz with the insert that came with it.
ReplyDeleteMy 2 year old is in a bumGenius OS with hemp insert.
My 4 year old wears a Happy Heiny's Training pants with microfiber insert.
We use the BumGenius pocket diapers on both twins. We put in both the regular insert and the infant insert for extra absorption and it works great!

ReplyDeleteWe use Bumgenius bamboo fitted diapers with an extra insert and a Flip cover. The insert is one of several we have on hand: Babykicks hemp insert, Bumgenius microfiber insert or the insert that comes with the Flip diapers. We have had no problems with this system, except for the time I forgot to put the cover on =)
ReplyDeleteI use Fuzzi Bunz Perfect Size pocket diapers at night. I use one of the microfiber inserts that comes with it plus a hemp Joey Bunz or a Super-Do insert.

ReplyDeletei'm still new to cloth diapering, so figuring out night-time. so far my best sucess is rumparooz doublestuffed, or flip with an added hemp prefold. baby kangas with the hemp prefold as a double seems to work too.

ReplyDeleteWe use one of 3 options:
ReplyDelete1)Gro Baby AI2 with booster
2)BG 3.0 OS pocket with extra insert
3)Haute Pockets OS with extra insert
Occasionally, we also use Happy Heiny's with an extra insert. I've never had any leaks with any of the above options and my little guy sleeps 12+ hours.

ReplyDeleteWe have found that either a BumGenius one size with joeybunz insert or a rumparooz with both inserts work for over night - and our little guy is a heavy wetter and sleeps through the night most nights...and never had a leak with either of those two options.

I have three nighttime solutions:
ReplyDelete1. a very baby simply nights in hemp (fitted) with a cover
2. a bagshot row bamboo tucked in all night diaper (fitted) with a cover
3. a bg 3.0 (pocket) with a regular insert and two smaller inserts.
None of them are perfect, but they do for now. :)
