    I have yet to use my diaper stock, since my Baby isn't here yet (due last Sunday! Uhg!) However, I fully intend to utilize the biodegradable inserts when traveling. Being natural, and biodegradable is very important to me, and I would not use an insert that was not.

    To be honest, yes, I think it's a great idea if they are super low cost. People could then use cloth with a disposable component, if they are more comfortable with that. It also might be easier for some parents when traveling.

    Yes, I think it's a good idea, because it helps make cloth diapering on the go more accessible for some families, helping eliminate the thought it's not possible.

    I think it is a great idea! Especially for tough situations, like traveling, where you may not be able to cloth diaper. It is a much better option to disposable diapers.

    hmmm... this is a hard question because I'm not really sure who the target demographic is for flushable/disposable components to cloth diapers even IS. It won't appeal to the cheapies, since they're more expensive than disposables. It won't appeal to the earthies, since they'll go full-on cloth. It might appeal to moms of babies with sensitive skin, etc.

    Even though I have no interest in using these products, I think it's great for companies to offer them. If people need them and want them, then it's nice to have the option, I think.

    No - I think there are so many products on the market already (disposable, washable, combination systems like the gdiaper), and I feel like it would just be a compromise to tap into those who aren't into cloth diapering. What's the point if we're going to throw stuff away?

    RE: Bio-degradable/disposable components for cloth diapers...

    I think it is a great idea to use on an occassional basis, but not for everyday. I think it would be okay i if they are either biodegradable or somehow better for the environment than regular disposables. As a side note, I use Flip but have never bought the disposable liners... but I would consider it to use when on vacation.

    I wouldn't use anything like that because I love the fact that I can throw the whole thing in the wash. My husband was all for cloth because he hates the smell of diapers (even in a canister, he still says he can smell it.)

    Yes! For those that compost, a bio-degradable option may be better than using water, soap & electricity. And there are definitely times that a disposable is just necessary. If you didn't have to buy a whole separate system (i.e. BG One Size & Flip), it would be easier.

    I think so. Though personally, I think they are more for the person who is not in cloth diapering to save money. It seems those inserts cost more than traditional disposables. But they are good for the environment, and for some people, that is the reason they cloth diaper.
    Personally, they aren't for me, though I might use them on a trip or something. =)

    I think it is good to have it as an option. I don't think it should be used as an everyday diapering system because it is still throwing something away and using more resources verses just using cloth. But yes some situtations disposable inserts can certainly come in handy.

    I think its a great idea to have companies have a disposable (which i believe should be compostable) because a lot of moms are scared of cloth because they think of diaper pins and leaking and yuck but its come so far! If there were a hybrid option to most cloth diapers i think it would get more and more moms to use cloth and ditch the sposies!!

    I think it is a great idea, though I have learned (after cloth diapering for over five years) that pockets are super duper easy to travel with, unless you can't or don't want to wash while on the road. I started out with cotton prefolds and have ended up using pockets. There is a price difference, but in the long run, it has been cheaper to use the pockets. I had way more leakage and stink issues using cotton prefolds than I ever have with pockets. So, I ended up keeping Seventh Gen. disposables around for outings a lot. If I had taken that money and bought a pocket each time rather than a bag of those, I would have saved a lot of money. However, I do still like the idea of having a cover that can do double duty, for either disposable or reusable inserts. The amount of waste is certainly less with one of those inserts than with a full disposable. Plus, the biodegradable inner is WAY better than that nasty gel that isn't environmentally compatible at all.

    I think it has bridged the gap between disposable and cloth diapers. I think having biodegradable inserts might encourage new moms to evenutally try out cloth and experienced moms some options while traveling or having a sick baby.

    Yes, I think the more options available to people considering cloth - the better. Now that I am using cloth though, I don't find the disposable option really necessary.

    I think it's great. I have 2 in diapers and my first daughter has developed an allergy to wet fabric... how dumb is that? I assure you it's a real thing, or at least her doctor said so, and so did the horrible, seemingly incurable rash. Our second daughter is 100% cloth diapered and it's nice to be able to use cloth in some form on both. The inserts are much better than using a whole disposable diaper.

    I think it's a nice thing to do. I'm sure there are times when you run into a situation where cloth is really hard to deal with or very troublesome. At least it's better than resorting to disposable diapers.

    I think it's a great option to have for parents that aren't too sure or ready for switching to cloth completely. And for traveling it makes things easier as well.

    Yes, I think it's a good idea. That way people who aren't ready to fully commit to cloth diapers still have a better option than disposables. Plus it's a nice option for certain times like vacations or if your washing machine breaks down.

    I think it's a great idea to offer them! I actually started out with the gdiaper, but bought prefolds to go into them, specifically. I did, however, find that there were times that it was nice to use the flushable/disposable inserts when we were out! :) I hadn't intended on using them, but I appreciated them in the end! I would love to see what the flip is like in comparison! I now use mostly fuzzibunz, motherease and bumgenius, but I LOVE trying out new diapers and I'm always curious! I have been toying with getting some with the coming of our new addition being next week! :)

    I'm not sure. Biodegradeable inserts just seems to be a fancy way of making one feel less guilty about not needing to buy disposables? Seems like it's just the same as putting a fancy cloth diaper cover on a disposable.

    I think they are a good idea, and gives people another option between cloth and disposable. It could even help people see how easy cloth could be and make the complete switch!

    I think it's nice to have disposables when you are on the go or when you drop the baby off with a sitter. However, if you are doing cloth diapers to be cost-effective, then it doesn't make much sense since they are usually more expensive than regular disposables.

    I observed recently that it would be an easier transition for Dd'ing moms than full out cloth, to have that option, and might be good for baby showers, as a kind of trial. I am afraid of the slippery slope, deal, though, trying to expand the market into full out DD'ing by a CD company. That would totally bum me out and would seem counterproductive (even if it is profitable)..

    I think that disposable inserts are a completely awesome idea. I have 2 older children, and have found that I have problems sometimes bringing dirty pants in the house in a timely manner, with the kids rushing me around and everything. A disposable insert would make things super easy when leaving the house, or going on long trips.

    my only concern is that if the biodegradable insert it thrown away instead of composted, the whole purpose of making it biodegradable is lost.
    Otherwise, it helps win over skeptics!

    I think it is a good idea because sometimes it is just nice to have other options when out or traveling and you don't have a diaper sprayer handy. I like the versatility.
