ReplyDeleteI resort to disposables (whatever's on sale) when traveling, and a reusable swim diaper if going someplace with a pool or beach. I do use GroBaby diapers when at home.

ReplyDeleteI like to use AIO or pockets that I've already pre stuffed. We haven't traveled out of state so all of our trips have been day ones. We just throw them in our wet bag when they have been used.

I commented on the cloth whisper's cloth wipe discussion
ReplyDeleteThe last time we traveled, we moved and I used Flip diapers with disposable liners. I was able to wash the shells out overnight if necessary.
ReplyDeleteI don't do anything special when we're traveling, I just use pocket diapers. However, I can see the appeal of a hybrid system!
ReplyDeleteI follow grovia on twitter @chgdiapers
ReplyDeleteI haven't traveled yet since cloth diapering, so I think we would use either disposables or try something like the bioliners.
ReplyDeleteI am a facebook fan
ReplyDeleteAshamed to admit this, but we use pampers when traveling. I need better cloth that I can trust before traveling with cloth!

We haven't had to travel yet, but we plan on using our Flip diapers when we do. For the plane we will probably use the disposable inserts but for the rest of the trip we will be using the stay-dry inserts and prefolds inside the flip covers.

ReplyDeleteFor just a weekend trip, we just continue as normal. We've used disposables on our longer trips, though. I'd love to use a hybrid, but we just don't travel enough to justify getting some.

ReplyDeleteI use a one size snap when traveling. I havnt been able to try a hybrid yet. I really want to, it would probably make traveling easier lol.

We have not traveled for more than one day yet so we still use our BG pockets. I would use a hybrid like flip or grovia though.

ReplyDeleteWe use cloth. Mainly econobums, but also have some bumgenuis, fuzzibunz, one rumparoo and one cutey baby. Would love to try grovia!!! :)
ReplyDeleteDepending on how far we're traveling and how, we use our regular pockets or prefolds. We are traveling overseas in a month and won't have the room to pack our dipes however :( so we'll have to buy some sposies once we get there.

ReplyDeleteWhat type of diapering system (cloth, disposable,or hybrid) AND brand do you use when you travel?
ReplyDeleteWell we'll be using the only system we have our Flips. We are out of the disposable inserts and can't get more. So we'll stop at a diaper store where we are heading to load up on more inserts. and since we are staying with family we can wash there!
Since my little guy isn't here yet I can't say which hybrid I like best...but I plan on trying GroVia, Flip and gDiapers once he arrives!
ReplyDeleteI use cloth when traveling, either bumGenius 3.0's or Flip with stay-dry inserts. I'm planning to bring all my cloth dipes and wash them when we stay in a beach house in Sept.

ReplyDeleteI was using gDiaper hybrids all the time, and have just recently switched to all cloth (because of a reaction my DD suddenly had to the gDiaper disposables), so I would have to say that I use gDiapers when I travel, because we have not gone on vacation since switching to cloth. However, we are going to be going on a camping trip at the end of August, and I have been trying to find a system to use then. GroVias are one of the systems I have been looking at.
ReplyDeleteI became a fan on FB!
ReplyDeleteWe use a hybrid system. Sometimes, I sneak and do the cloth thing (we use generic prefolds with a Bummis SuperBrite cover) but if my husband diapers our son before an outing, he gets put in a disposable Huggies Pure and Natural.
ReplyDeleteI like to use my Grobaby shells with the bioliners!!
ReplyDeleteWe use Grovia - the best!

Lately Grobaby is my goto diaper for travel. On longer trips when i can't bring cloth I've used shells and biosoakers with great success. If I can bring cloth these are great too since they take up less space than many other brands.

ReplyDeleteI use Flip diapers but I actually prefer to use prefolds when traveling than the disposables since with Flip they're not flushable anyway so I don't find them that much more convenient but prefolds are much more compact than AIOs etc. I would like to try the GroVia's or Gdiapers or any of those hybrids that have flushables as that certainly seems easier. Just haven't gotten around to it yet!

ReplyDeleteWe haven't been on a major trip yet, but have always brought AIOs both for compactness while packing and high probability that Granny or other family may help with changing.
ReplyDeleteI would use a hybrid system for travel. michloves80s at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteWe use all cloth... except when we travel. We have a major trip coming up, and plan to use disposables. It would be great to try out Grovia!
ReplyDeleteQOTW: Well, our LO is on the way, so we don't have a travel system yet; but we are wanting to CD so I would love to try out these Grovia they are so cute and I have heard wonderful things about them!

When we travel I use my pocket diapers, mostly Fuzzi Bunz and BumGenius
ReplyDeletemommyof3tx(at)gmail(dot)com
When travelling we use prefolds and covers. Since prefolds are easy to clean in any washer and if need be I can hand wash a cover in a sink.

We have only traveled once since my son was born (to Walt Disney World) and we used hybrids- gDiapers with the bio inserts.

Well I haven't traveled yet since starting but I will in the next few weeks. I'm just going to bring my stash of Fuzzibunzs and Bumgenious's with me. Mabye a little more work but it's what I've got!
ReplyDeleteWhen I travel I use disposable diapers, whatever brand's on sale (or I have the best coupon for). When my daughter gets older and I'm paying the same price for less diapers I'm hoping to use GroVia BioSoakers.

ReplyDeleteFor day trips we don't change a thing, pockets for us. For longer tirps, we don't change anything as long as a washer is available. If not, we have to use disposables, and they suck!

ReplyDeleteWe have to travel quite a bit to visit family and they aren't exactly up for having us use their washing machine for diapers...so we use disposables.

ReplyDeleteTravelling is the one way we haven't streamlined CDing. Lately we've been using either Nature Baby or 7th Gen sposies! Boo hiss! I want to CD every time I travel!
ReplyDeleteSo far we've only traveled with BumGenius because we were able to wash diapers on the road.
ReplyDeleteSo far all we have are pocket diapers so that is what we use on the go.
ReplyDeleteI now follow GroVia on Twitter. Username: @nerdyartist
ReplyDeleteI use disposables when we travel as well, only because we don't have a large enough wetbag to hold all the cloth we would use. Luckily, we hardly ever travel. I'm working on building my stash, so by the next trip, I may have a large wetbag and we can do the cloth on the road.
