ReplyDeleteRight now our favorite night time diaper solution is Bum Genius 4.0. So far its working well. But I am worried they wont fit forever.
ReplyDeleteJust subscribed to The Cloth Diaper Whisperer newsletter!
ReplyDeleteSince my little one isn't born yet, I haven't experienced using anything y et. But I think pocket diapers with extra stuffing will be what I try first.
ReplyDeleteFor overnight, we have to use either double-stuffed pockets (BG 4.0's and RaR's are our favorites) or fitteds with fleece covers (many different WAHM brands). Anything else gives us leaks.

ReplyDeleteFuzzibunz One Size with an extra Thirsties hemp insert!
ReplyDeleteBest nighttime dipe so far has been the Blueberry Minky with their combo microfiber/hemp insert.
ReplyDeletePrefold with 2 hemp inserts and a Thirsties cover. We've never had a leak!

ReplyDeleteBG 4.0 with a OS microfiber insert and a Hemp babies insert.

ReplyDeleteRight now I use either a BG 4.0/3.0, a rumparooz, or a FB hemp -- any of them double stuffed for my toddler who is daytime potty trained. I use a combo of inserts, just depending on what is clean.
ReplyDeleteRumparooz with 6 r soaker has been great at night for my 7 month old who sleeps about 10hrs straight- then I change her and put on another pocket diaper for the next 2 hrs till she's up for the day.

Knickernappies Superdo inserts in a BG 4.0 work wonderfully for us!

ReplyDeleteFitted with a hemp doubler, then a cover over all of that. We use various brands.

ReplyDeleteFor my daughter, a hemp insert with a prefold OR two microfiber inserts was the best because she was a heavy wetter. My son I can get away with almost anything as he doesn't even soak though a standard "daytime" option - microfiber, hemp, prefolds, etc. Normally we use an Econobum set or Econobum stuffed into a BG 4.0 (for DH to change)for him right now

At night, my 15 month old wears a bumgenius 4.0 with a regular microfiber insert plus two of the newborn doublers. This usually keeps her dry through 13 hours of sleeping. I may have to try some hemp inserts soon, though! :)

ReplyDeleteI have yet to try night time diapers unfortunately. But I do have wool covers that I plan to use :)
ReplyDeleteThe best we can muster is BumGenius3.0 or Happy Heiny's double stuffed with microfiber inserts, but our super soaker still wakes up wet, so next step = hemp!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried cloth at nighttime yet...I think my bumgenius' will do the trick though :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a future CDer but I've mostly heard double stuffed pockets are best.
ReplyDeletePocket diapers with one microfiber and 1-2 hemp inserts keep my little one dry for 12 hours! Love them!

ReplyDeleteI am also a fb fan. I use the BG 4.0 with hemp & microfiber inserts for my 3 year old (it's the only diaper that doesn't leave marks on her legs), and a fuzzibunz with hemp and microfiber inserts.

ReplyDeleteFor my 6 month old i use a kawaii minky bamboo pocket with 1 bamboo insert and 1 hemp insert, and a fleece liner inside. It works wonderfully on him! For my big toddler we are experimenting lately trying to find something that works, but unfortunately he is hard to fit and has to wear an overnight disposable most of the time :-(
ReplyDeletePrefold with a fleece/MF doubler that I made, and of course a Thirsties cover! (I love the ocean medium wrap!)

The best night-time diapering system I've found is a bamboo Mother-Ease Sandy's size small with a small Mother-Ease bamboo insert. I also add a Softbums bamboo newborn pod. I use an Econobums cover and we have yet to have a leak. DD sleeps anywhere from 10-14 hours straight and so far, so good!
