My baby boy isn't due until May, but I think I will prefer the snaps. If he is anything like my husband, he will be mischievous!
ReplyDeleteI definitely prefer snaps these days. All of my Aplix diapers are in dire need of repair (which means i'm converting them to snaps!). Plus my little one has figured out how much fun undoing Aplix is (he loves the sound).

ReplyDeleteDefinitely prefer snaps - aplix was easier when we were first learning to cloth diaper but it gets fuzzy so fast, plus snaps are harder for a toddler to pull off!

ReplyDeleteI prefer snaps because when babies get older it is easier for them to undo velcro and pull off their diaper.

That's a tough question to answer. I prefer snaps cause they last longer and are less of a hassle to deal with while washing but aplix give the baby a more personal fit

ReplyDeleteSnap is the way I plan to go because aplix pulls and pills and from what I've read online just doesn't last as long.
ReplyDeleteSnaps!! They are cuter and last longer!
ReplyDeletesnaps. My toddler likes to pull off his velcro diapers. The snaps he can't undo so has to wiggle out of the diaper.

ReplyDeleteI'm a snaps gal. Toddler can't get them off, no snags in the washer, and they are lasting forever (so far)! I only liked aplix for my newborn daughter (she was just under 6 lbs and we needed the crossover aplix to fit her teeny tiny frame).

ReplyDeleteI prefer snaps... b/c velcro in the dryer is AWFUL
ReplyDeleteI like babykicks on FB
ReplyDeleteI prefer snaps, because they can't stick to each other in the washing machine, and my LO can't take them off. I know that most diapers have "laundry tabs," but in my experience they never work. Plus, snaps don't usually wear out as badly as aplix does.
ReplyDeleteI definitely prefer snaps because they can't stick to each other in the washing machine. I know that most aplix diapers have "laundry tabs," but in my experience they never work. I also prefer snaps because LO can't unsnap them, and they never look old and worn out like aplix.
ReplyDeleteI prefer aplix right now. It's easier to adjust them just right to fit my son's skinny waist.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely snaps. My soon to be six month old has already started figuring out the aplix
ReplyDeleteI prefer snaps- my kids like to take off their diapers during naptime and in the morning before we know they're up. If they've pooped- well... use your imagination. Unless the diaper has snaps I have to put pants on them.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely snaps, aplix tends to degrade over time.. By the time the next child comes I could replace any snaps that have broken with aplix and they'd be like new. I'm crafty like that :)

I'm fine with either but I think since I did sposies for a year I like aplix better, the easy of getting it to stay with a squirmy toddler is beneficial to me. But I have a baby due in May so I will see what I prefer with him :)

I am diapering a newborn right now so for the moment aplix is easier. The majority of my diapers are snaps. Once he out grows his newborn diapers we are switching over. I am not going to give him the chance to figure out how easy/fun it is to undo a aplix diaper! :o)

Initially thought snaps but then a CD pal said with newborn diaper changes in the middle of the night you will prefer applix. I have both in my stash only due to freebies with kelly's closet. I love them. Got a free OS baby kick a few months back. My favorite diaper so far slim and VERY absorbent
ReplyDeleteI like both for different reasons. I like snaps because they are more durable and they look neater, but I like aplix out on the road because they go so fast.

ReplyDeleteI used to love the snaps. And then, I got a set of the grovia with aplix...Now I'm split :)
ReplyDeleteI love the fit that aplix gives me, but I do like the durability of snaps. The snaps will definitely last longer. I'm pretty sure my little girl is going to love being able to take off her diapers, so the more I can deter that, the better! :)
ReplyDeleteNo parent who has found a diaper on the floor and seen a cute 15-mo-old booty running from the scene of the crime and possibly a puddle of piddle nearby would doubt the wisdom of snaps! my daughter would do this last summer with her Velcro diapers, and we switched to all Fuzzibunz and are very happy! Now she can wear a summer dress and not need another layer to keep her from taking off the diaper!
ReplyDeleteSnap closure, hands down! This is because they last longer and I *hate* it when the velcro or aplix gets snagged on anything including clothing or other diapers. Also when my baby is old enough, she'll be able to undo them.

ReplyDeleteOh heavens, it depends on the day. And the age of the kid I'm diapering. I'm not sure that I can answer that :o( But I"ll say Aplix since my babies tend to be skinny and I can tighten those suckers down.
ReplyDeleteI'm 50/50. I was a super fan of snaps while on maternity leave and I was doing 90% of the diaper changes on my little boy. After starting back to work a month ago, I'm now a fan of aplix because the caretakers at my little one's daycare stretched out my perfect size small FBs and now they won't fit any future babies. Sad! So, we have a new cloth diapering plan - aplix during the day for daycare and snaps for home! Wish someone had told me about this problem before I took my snaps stash to daycare. It was not an obvious problem at first.
ReplyDeleteI like the way aplix is so perfectly size-customizable so if the LO is wearing bottoms, I'll go for them first. Now that she's figured out velcro however, if she's going without bottoms, she needs snaps or she takes her diaper off. =)

My closure preference depends on the diaper. I love our FuzziBunz snap closure, but like the snug fit of a Thirsties fitted in aplix. Also, snaps are best when baby discovers how easy it is to remove an aplix dipe

I prefer the snap closure. I don't really even have a reason. I like the aplix, but worry they won't last as long, and daddy is worried they will irritate her skin, so we use the snaps.

ReplyDeleteOn my newborn, I prefer aplix for a bit more adjustment room (and Daddy thinks it's easier than snaps, too!).
ReplyDeleteLove aplix for the ease and custom fit but my little guy is starting to discover how to pull it up which means I might have to buy some new covers in snap.

ReplyDeleteI have both and prefer snaps for the cleaner look, durability & the day my LO figures out how to get her diaper off (hook & loop diaper that is). Just got my GroBaby shells back from snap conversion today - so happy - that aplix was my least favorite of all.

ReplyDeleteI love that snaps will outlast aplix. However, my youngest is a squirmer and I have to "fight" him to get the diaper fully snapped. For him I love aplix and for my older daughter snaps. Wish I had a couple more aplix for this reason!!
