  2. I would leave out the pre-folds and flats for sure. Also anything with snaps. For a newbie I would go with velcro!

  3. I think that hybrids like Charlie Banana are best when someone who is not familiar or comfortable with cloth diapers is watching the baby.

    Thank You!

  8. We send hook/loop pocket diapers to daycare (at provider's request) - bumgenius, kawaii, and rumparoos, and generally stick to those as the easiest "babysitter" diapers we have! In general, the stretchy tabs on the BG diapers make them the easiest and most like sposies - even my father-in-law (who has never changed a diaper, disposable or cloth, in his life!) admitted it was pretty easy!

  12. I usually just leave out some stuffed pockets but if I'll be gone for a while I have to show them how to use the diaper covers because that's what we have the most of.

  14. I really want a bitti tutto in the beach stripe AND the spectra prints! (Well, I want the whole line of prints, but love the yellows and blues!)

    ReplyDelete
  15. I usually leave pocket diapers out because they are easiest for people who are not used to modern cloth diapers. At home I use mostly prefolds tri-folded in covers, but I leave pockets for others to use since they are just as easy as disposables.

  20. currently I din't have any one baby sit, but if i did I'd leave out my thirsties covers with a prefold and a liner all put together and just waiting for the diaper change. I normally have 4 all put together ahead of time.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Right now I only have AMP diapers and Comfy Rumps ... so that's all I leave out. But I make sure they are ready with inserts and everything to make it much simpler for my baby-sitter.

    ReplyDelete
  36. We haven't left DD with a babysitter yet, but we send her to daycare with our BumGenius 3.0's. Easy peasy!

  44. I would leave any snap closures at home because inevitably someone would snap them wrong and I would end up with a leaky diaper. Not the diaper's fault, just user error!

  51. Usually an AIO or a prestuffed pocket..velcro over snaps. Sometimes a prestuffed gdiaper. Whatever they are less likely to goof up..

    ReplyDelete
  52. I typically leave an AIO or pocket with velcro --- so my BGs or RARs usually.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I don't know what diaper I would leave out. I think I would assemble a Grovia because the aplix is easy to fit. The snaps seem to trick "babysitters" up!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I think I would leave them with pockets with snaps or velcro but not sure as I am still expecting and haven't tried out the cloth diapers on a living baby yet.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I would like to try bitti boo in red

    ReplyDelete

  61. I am new to cloth diapering, but I am leaving my husband with the kids for the first night for a few hours. I am leaving out some already stuffed pocket diapers for both my 1 month old and my 21 month old. However, he says he is not going to use those, but use our disposables instead. We will see :) Our nanny is home with me a few days while I am on maternity leave so I am going to teach her so she can use any of them. I think the pre-stuffed pocket diapers with Velcro would be the easiest for grandparents also.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I leave out stuffed BG 3.0s. They're my husband's go-to dipe, and I haven't seen anyone mess them up yet!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I leave pocket diapers for my mother, who is the only babysitter I currently use. I prestuff them and have them already for her so it's just like putting on a disposable.

  65. I would like to try all of the ittibitti diapers as well as their wipes. It is time I get some new wipes.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I am in love with the bitti tutto dipes that were on a giveaway here a week or two ago. Once I find out whether I'm expecting a son or another daughter, I am going to go pick a few out as a treat!

    ReplyDelete
  67. I follow the cloth diaper whisperer blog!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Baby isn't here yet, building my stash, but I would think AIOs or at least already stuffed, ready to go pockets would be best for babysitters, but with pockets they would have to unstuff so maybe just the AIOs.

  71. Anything I have with velcro. So, Happy Heiny's or Bum Genius. I have found that snaps intimidate just about everyone who sees them. I ordered some Itti Bitty's a few days ago, and I CANNOT wait til they get here. A free one would go nicely with it's brethren....just sayin'...:)

    ReplyDelete
  72. I went to the ittibitti website and the items I would like to try is the wipes and the bitti tuttos b/c the one size diapers work good for my family since I have two in diapers (1 month and 21 months)

  81. Something that looks like a "real" diaper--stuffed and ready to go.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I have some small BG AIO's that work great, but once she grows out of those we will be moving on to prestuffed velcro pockets for sitters and grandparents.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I usually leave stuffed aplix pockets.

People tend to get all weird with snaps. Especially one-size. They try to undo the rise settings and just make things more difficult than neccessary.

I just have them leave the dirties on the back of the toilet and I deal with them later.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I would leave out an AIO or an already stuffed pocket with aplix for someone who is not used to cloth diapering. That way it wouldn't be much different than a disposable for them to change.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I don't have enough cloth that we use it if I'm not home, but I would probably leave out a pocket that's pre-stuffed.

  99. I would leave the Bum Genius AIO's out for a babysitter to use. It's the closest to disposable ones in my stash.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I leave my BumGenius AIOs for DH to use, though he will still prob put a sposie on DS :( The GroVia AIOs are also pretty easy to use.

    ReplyDelete
