ReplyDeleteI hang dry anything with PUL with an octopus from IKEA! The prefolds and inserts just go in the dryer with Nellie's PVC-free dryer balls.
ReplyDeleteI hang dry the covers and dry the inserts in the dryer.
ReplyDeleteI follow DiaperShops on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteOnce our little one gets here we plan to line dry as much as possible (since we already do this with a LOT of our clothes, it shouldn't be too hard!)
ReplyDeleteI dry my diapers by putting by the window, hanging on whatever I can find. When it's starts getting warmer I'm going to put up a clothes line outside for them :)

ReplyDeleteI have 2 in cloth and live in an apartment, so if I washed and dryed in the laundromat in the complex I would be spending a rediculous amount of money, SO I wash in the washer and line dry in the house or in the sun as needed.
ReplyDeleteI will be starting to cloth diaper in just a few months (when my baby arrives yay!) and I am hoping to first dry the diapers out in the sun (since it is summer and hot here in FL... although humid..) and then use the dryer as needed in winter/during rainy season.

ReplyDeleteI put my prefolds in the dryer but this summer they'll be outside, bleaching in the sun. My AIO's never go in the dryer though (which coincidently are the Swaddlebees AIO's that are being given away, I Loove them). They always get a line dry.
ReplyDeleteWe use pocket diapers, so outers get hung up to dry, inserts go in the dryer!
ReplyDeleteWhen the weather is nice I dry everything on the line outside and at the end of the day I throw anything cotton or hemp in the dryer for a few minutes to soften it up. When it's raining or cold I dry all the wipes and inserts in the dryer and all my covers, pockets and wet bags (anything with PUL) on a drying rack under a ceiling fan or in front of the wood stove.

ReplyDeleteIf I have time (and the weather cooperates) I like to hang them outside. If not covers go on the drying rack inside and inserts go in the dryer.

ReplyDeleteWe do a combination. I always dry our covers on a rack, and if it's sunny out will do the fitteds/AIOs on the rack outside as well. I usually toss them in the dryer to soften up afterwards though.

ReplyDeleteSince we've moved out of our house and into an apartment, inserts usually go in the dryer and liners go on a drying rack on the balcony.
ReplyDeleteI dry all my diapers together in the dryer on medium-high. If any are still a little damp, I hang them up to finish drying.

ReplyDeleteI dry mine on cute octopus hangers I got from Ikea, usually in the basement.
ReplyDeleteI dry on a line outside as soon as the weather is nice enough - barring any "oops we only have one clean diaper left" moments. If there is time to spare in the winter, I hang everything on a rack in our house, otherwise inserts, prefolds, fitteds, etc. all go in the dryer. All covers/wool/PUL dry on the rack all the time in the winter.

ReplyDeleteWeather and time permitting we dry outside on a drying rack, and then fluff in the dryer with dryer balls for 5-10 minutes to soften them up again (our AIOs and soaker pads).
ReplyDeleteInserts go in the dryer and outers/covers and bamboo diapers get hung up. As soon as the weather is better they will all be hung outside.

I use the dryer for the inserts and hang the covers.
ReplyDeleteWe use pockets and love them. I dry the inserts in the dryer, and hang the covers on a drying rack.
ReplyDeleteWhen the diapers are stained I haul the drying rack outside to let the "sun" bleach them (We live just north of Seattle). If it's a rainy day the stains still disappear. If they're not dry by nighttime I'll bring the rack in to dry overnight.

ReplyDeleteSince I live on a tropical island, I have rigged up a makeshift clothesline on my carport and i let them air dry and sun bleach there!!
ReplyDeleteI don't have cloth yet but I plan to hang them outside on the clothes line since I have heard that the sun will bleach out the stains. :)

ReplyDelete90% of the year I can dry diapers outside using the drying rack or lawn furniture here in TX (clothes line not allowed =/ )
ReplyDeleteI dry usually in the dryer but if they need sunning, I line dry. I run them for around 30 minutes and fot some of the thicker diapers, it's not enough to completely dry. Thise I hang in the bathroom until they are dry.
