my son is currently ebf, so we just rinse them over the toilet. I do want to get a diaper sprayer, specially for when he starts solids. Considering using liners as well.
ReplyDeleteWe are just starting solids with my little one, so nothing special yet, if a bowel is too solid to go straight in the washer, I try to shake it off in the toilet. But a diaper sprayer would definitely help!

I love tea tree oil if thats considered a cloth diaper accessory. I put some drops in the cloth wipe solution and it helps get rid of the yeast that keeps on creeping up in Florida's humidity!

Currently we dunk, but I just ordered a sprayer. Dunking was NOT working and I was getting poop everywhere, lol.
ReplyDeleteI have been using a combination of liners and dunking (which both work WAY better than I ever imagined) but mainly because we didn't have the money for a sprayer right away!
ReplyDeleteI shake off as much as I can and occasionally will use flushable liners.
ReplyDeleteAt the moment, my baby has EBF poo, so I just spray some bac out on the diapers and throw in the wash. Would love a diaper sprayer though for once she starts solids!

ReplyDeleteWe clean bowel movements off mainly by shaking them into the toilet, but when that doesn't work we use toilet paper to scrape it off. A diaper sprayer is on my wish list though. :)

My son's poops are awesome at the moment, they just kind of peel right off from a couple of shakes over the toilet. If, by chance, he had a loose stool, I would dunk and swish it. I could have used a sprayer when he was a newborn, though!

I plan on using a sprayer, but I don't have one yet! So this would be great!
ReplyDeletewe use the flushable/biodegradable liners so we just dump and flush the poo then rinse with cold water in the sink or shower for the 'messy' ones.

Even though our little one is still EBF we rinse her poopy diapers over the toilet with our diaper sprayer. Most of the time we don't even get stains in our diapers!
ReplyDeleteAll of the above!
ReplyDeleteDepends on my mood. I used liners almost exclusively when i was on vacation. And dunked when I didn't have a liner. I do a sprayer if it's older, but I find a dunking (with a good flush - what I like to call a diaper swirly) works better than a sprayer a lot of times. And keeps the bathroom cleaner, too.
Flushable liners and sprayers =)
ReplyDeleteSprayer & flushable liners =)
ReplyDeleteI'm a dunker, swisher for now. But I would love to be a sprayer;)
ReplyDeleteI said: I'm new to cloth diapering (FTM due in October), but I've heard the diaper sprayer is a _must_ for cloth diapering as a cd accessory - especially once little one starts eating solids.

dump what I can in the toilet & then either dunk and scrub or use TP depending on severity. On one particularly bad occasion, I use a water bottle with spray attachment (that is usually used for watering my cactus plants, haha) and adjusted the nozzle to the smallest hardest stream. That day I almost cried. Oh to have a diaper sprayer!!
ReplyDeleteWe have a utility sink that we rinse BM diapers off in. We try to get as much off with a wipe before rinsing.

ReplyDeleteRight now I only sort of dunk... I take the dirty diaper and put it in a clean 5-gal bucket that I keep in the tub, filling it with cold water just till it covers the diaper completely. Then I swish and dump the water in the toilet.. I think using a sprayer would make this process much easier :)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is EBF so we just toss them in the wet bag and wash them. We'll either use liners or a sprayer when she starts solids.

ReplyDeleteMy little guy is into solids now, so we mostly just use the "dump it out" method and dunk/soak if it gets bad. We got into cloth a little late in the game with him, but we'll definitely get a sprayer for our next baby's diapers (it increases my chances of Daddy helping with the dirty ones ;) )
ReplyDeleteMy little guy is on solids, so we usually just dump them out. We use dunk/soak for the rare messy one. We didn't get into the CD game until he was on solids, but I definitely want to get a sprayer for the next baby. It helps my chances of getting Daddy to help with the dirty ones ;)
ReplyDeleteThankfully my daughter is still in the EBF poo stage, so it all just goes into the wash. But for more solid messes, I dump it into the toilet and pour water over it. I would REALLY LOVE a diaper sprayer ;)

ReplyDeleteOur Daughter is exclusively breastfed still so we just throw our diapers in the wash as they are - we do a rinse cycle before washing.
