We done finger painting with homemade safe/edible paints (started around 10 months). Now we do lots of coloring and now that my girl is 18 months, she might be ready to play with dough!

ReplyDeleteMy oldest (7) loves crafts. She loves painting, drawing, even sewing, and of course play dough. My youngest (just turned 1) is just starting get into exploration through arts and crafts!

ReplyDeleteWe do some crafting, mostly coloring, painting, or sticker-use. Yesterday, we made a nice watercolor picture to send to grandma!
ReplyDeleteI haven't started crafting yet... mostly just doodles right now since he's 2 1/2 and makes a mess in the blink of an eye. hard to keep up with when I've got the 4mo too!
ReplyDeletemy girls are 3 & 5 and love all kinds of crafts. Perler beads are one of the favorites now, along with coloring, painting and play dough.

ReplyDeleteMy son is 20 months and we have only begun some arts and crafts, mostly because it just barely dawned on me that he was ready! So far we have colored with markers and crayons, used sidewalk chalk, and painted with water on the deck out back. I'd love to get some dough to play with next!

ReplyDeleteI have an almost two year old who loves to color and do preschool workbook pages! We have a lot of fun in nature and playing outside. I hadn't even thought of making playdough yet! Thanks for the inspiration!

ReplyDeleteLast Christmas when my youngest daughter was only 1 we finger painted. Since then she has only liked messy crafts. My oldest started around the same age, and she has been crafting ever since.

ReplyDeleteI love crafting with my kiddos! My two oldest (4 & 2) absolutely love craft time in all forms, and the baby likes to try and scribble or play with play doh.

ReplyDeleteMy son is just 8 months but I have done some simple crafting with him already. For Father's Day I used ink to put his footprints on a hand painted picture frame. I can't wait to do more with him as he gets older. At daycare he seems to lev arts and crafts!
ReplyDeletePlay doh, coloring, drawing, all kinds of things. Its harder to find something to do with both kids together though because my oldest is nearly 5 and my youngest 19 months
ReplyDeleteMy dd loves to craft...I unfortunately for her am not very creative so my SIL usually will come over and help her with projects. Dd is 5 and has been crafting with my SIL since she was around a year and a half! :-)
ReplyDeleteI haven't started with my LO yet - she's 7 months - but I will pretty soon. I started pretty early with my older boys - about as soon as I knew that they wouldn't eat the materials. :)

We haven't done many involved crafts yet (as my daughter's only 2), but she certainly loves drawing and finger painting!

My daughter is totally old enough to craft, but I am not very crafty at all. She did paint a pumpkin this weekend and loved it. So, I need to do more stuff like this with her.

ReplyDeleteI try to craft with the kids every weekend. I have a 8, and 5 year old and an almost 4 month old. They love anything involving paint, drawing or clay type things (ornaments mostly so far).

ReplyDeleteBoth my kids (4 and 1 yr) love doing crafts....playdough, painting, sticky contact paper collage, coloring, stamping, cutting etc.
ReplyDeleteMy son never cared for coloring or crafting until recently. He's 3, and he'd much rather be building (and destroying) things. I think he would enjoy this, though! He got to try Play-Doh at a friend's house and loved it, but I'd much rather give him a safe alternative. =)
