  1. Softbums + Christmas= Holiday Cheer! It doesn't get any better than that for my first christmas cloth diapering!

  2. Haven't tried SoftBums yet, but have heard good things.
Not so sure about a "holiday" diaper. Seems a bit limited in the timespan a baby could wear it.

  3. Wouldn't we all be better off if we could wear such stylish, puffy comfort all day - and holiday prints to boot!

I'm new to the cloth diapering world, but have reached a turning point - My wonderful (but incomplete) collection of cloth diapers is currently being washed, and I'm faced with the reality that I will need to go and buy another pack of disposables. Today. The thought of spending so much money has caused me to procrastinate up to this point - but the reality is that my son will not pause his potty needs because of my frugality. Thanks to Kelly's Closet, I enthusiastically added to my cloth collection today, so that I can avoid this dilemma from this point on. I hope that today's disposable pack will be the last one.

Thanks for the fantastic selection, I look forward to opening the mailbox soon so that we can enjoy the benefits of soft, cute, and reusable cloth diapers!

  8. Seriously? I had no idea they had an internal toggle! That makes me hope I win even more! My skinny mini was 7.11 and 21in. Poor thing is 9 months and 18.5 and 28in. I see all these babies that are chunky, not my girl. I worry about leg leaks and we are newbies at cloth so we are working our way into finding what works for us.

  9. Getting to GNOME you...so cute. Love it. Great product and I have started collecting ECHO shells. Haven't tried Omni but willing to bed they are just as good. Love the aplix and fit. I have a very chubby 3.5 month old (nearly 20 lbs!) with a long torso and short legs...the fit is always spot on, looks comfy and doesn't leak. :)

    ReplyDelete
  120. Softbums's one-size system sounds very interesting. I love the Fuzzibunz Elite and these sound a bit similar (no snap-downs). I'd love to give Softbums a try. My 1st was 7 lbs. 12 oz, 2nd was 2 lbs. 12 oz and 3rd was 6 lbs. 11 oz. I only tried newborn cloth with my third and it didn't go too well. But whenever I think about baby sizes, I remember that line from A Farewell to Arms, where the expecting Mother is drinking while pregnant at the advice of her physician and comments that maybe her son will grow up to be a jockey! Ahh, how times have changed. Though I imagine Hemingway would have drank through his entire pregnancy.

    ReplyDelete
  159. my bubs was 8#10oz at birth, but to be honest I don't think I would have cloth diapered him as a newborn. I'm a first time mom, was recovering from surgery and was just learning and getting to know my baby. although I was fed up with every disposable leaking or giving him a rash, when I first started cloth diapering it was very confusing and frustrating and I'm glad he was 2months for that process and not 2weeks

    ReplyDelete
  160. Adjustment is great. I use them almost exclusively and love it. My little one was 8 lbs 1oz.

    ReplyDelete

  166. Really been dying to try these. And the holiday bundle is so cute. My lil guy needs slide2size!

  167. I didn't know that. I've never had the chance to try softbums out, though I've been wanting to! My first was a month early and born at 6lb 7oz. My second was born at 7lb 7.5oz at 38w6d

  168. I just tried an echo from a lovely mama off of Craigslist and I'm in love! Must add more of these to my stash!

  169. My little ones were 6 pounds 9 oz and 6 pounds 12 oz. Where does the internal toggle tuck away?

  170. I had no idea about the internal toggle to adjust the size to truly fit newborns to toddlers, I would love to try SoftBums!

My first two sons weight exactly the same...7 lbs 11 oz. Can't wait to see what our third son will weigh when he is delivered in February!

  171. My babes have been 8lbs, 8lbs 8oz, and 8lbs 15oz. Have never tried SoftBums but they are on my wish list!

  172. My babies were 7lbs8oz and 6lbs4oz... I wish we'd started cloth earlier. I've only used my softbums on bigger babies, but the slide-to-size always gives us a great fit.

  173. I know about the toggle. My son was almost 10 pounds.

  174. Love our Softbums! My little man was 8 lbs 7 oz and he was too big for the smallest setting!

  175. Yes! I like the sliding fit of the diapers! It's much more convenient than the rise snaps. :)

They don't leave the marks on the side of the leggies, and they have a superb fit. I love it! :)

  176. Yes, I did know that, and I love when diapers have that feature! My little man was 7lb 4oz when he was born, and when I received the soft bums I have now it was on the smallest stetting, and I think it would have totally fit him!
