We use reusable freezer containers to break up large quantities of meat to freze. So...no ziploc bags in trash and less packaging to begin with.

I re use junk mail for shopping lists before recycling the paper. There is 2 sides to every piece of paper the ones that are still blank get used for lists and doodles.
