so far we've liked aplix better than snaps. i really thought snaps would be the way to go, since they are supposed to hold up better. but it just seems easier and faster to get the right fit with aplix. the baby is only a month old, so i expect my preference to change at some point!

I started out really preferring velcro to snaps- it was so much easier to get a perfect fit!
But recently my son has figured out how to undo the velcro which is not so good and the velcro is getting a little worn.
So I bought some more snaps. I found that getting the fit is easier with some brands than it is with others. I love that I don't have to worry about the velcro sticking in the wrong places or putting it back on the tabs before throwing it the pail.
I still think velcro wins though, because I can do a standing diaper change with it and I haven't been able to do that with snaps.

I prefer aplix right now bc I love that I can get a perfect fit on my 13 week old dd. I think as she gets older I'll probably like snaps better bc snaps will maybe prevent her from figuring out how to take off her diaper. But for now I prefer aplix!

I prefer snap mostly now -- aplix varies so much from mfr to mfr that some last, some don't. Plus now that we're past the young infant stage the snaps are easily adjustable for them.
