so far we've liked aplix better than snaps. i really thought snaps would be the way to go, since they are supposed to hold up better. but it just seems easier and faster to get the right fit with aplix. the baby is only a month old, so i expect my preference to change at some point!

Depends on the situation - prefer snaps for most of the time because DD can undo velcro! But prefer velcro for when relatives visit because they can never seem to get the snaps right!

I started out really preferring velcro to snaps- it was so much easier to get a perfect fit!
But recently my son has figured out how to undo the velcro which is not so good and the velcro is getting a little worn.
So I bought some more snaps. I found that getting the fit is easier with some brands than it is with others. I love that I don't have to worry about the velcro sticking in the wrong places or putting it back on the tabs before throwing it the pail.
I still think velcro wins though, because I can do a standing diaper change with it and I haven't been able to do that with snaps.
It depends on the dipe. I love my snap FuzziBunz, but love the stretch & fit of my aplix Thirsties fitteds & wraps :) It's really a tie..

I prefer aplix right now bc I love that I can get a perfect fit on my 13 week old dd. I think as she gets older I'll probably like snaps better bc snaps will maybe prevent her from figuring out how to take off her diaper. But for now I prefer aplix!

I prefer snap mostly now -- aplix varies so much from mfr to mfr that some last, some don't. Plus now that we're past the young infant stage the snaps are easily adjustable for them.

I actually am not partial either way. My hubby prefers fuzzi bunz snaps and I didn't mind the bummis super whisper wraps for our earlier prefolds. I would love to try out HH diapers though!!
I think snaps would be better for a toddler harder to undo tho!

I'm now leaning towards snaps even though it means I give up a slightly better fit in the waist. With snaps I don't have to worry that someone forgot to use the laundry tabs before dumping the diaper or cover in the pail.

I would prefer snaps. Except my BG AIOs I love them in Velcro. (for daddy and grandma)
I really like aplix because it's so easy to get a good fit (and anyone can figure out how to put them on!), but I know that the snaps hold up longer. I also think I'll like snaps more as my son becomes a toddler.

So far, I'm in love with snaps. The velcro still seems as though it would be itchy.....And the reason why I love snaps? Honestly, I think they just look cuter on the diaper than the velcro! ha!

Not using CDs yet, but I think that long-term I'm going to like snaps. But aplix would be nice in the middle of the night.

So far we've only used aplix on our newborn, but I think the snaps will be better for when she figures out how to undo the aplix.
I'm new to CD'ing so I don't really have a preference between snaps & aplix yet... but I think I'm going to like snaps for their durability & because I've heard it is harder for the little ones to undo the snaps.

Snaps all the way! They last a lot longer, don't stick to random don't scratch baby tummies, and are more difficult for the bigger ones to unfasten.

I prefer snaps because they last longer.
Velcro for newborns (to get the tighest, smoothest fit), then snaps once they fit into one-size diapers. Snapped diapers look like new for far longer and don't become scratchy or worn out.
I am a fan of the founder on Facebook.
Snaps! No laundry woes with them. But hubby would much prefer velcro.
Following your blog via google reader.
I prefer snaps because its harder for babies to get undo the snaps on their own.
I prefer aplix for a newborn (sizing issues) but once they hit 15 lbs or so i prefer snaps. I hate daisy chains in the wash.
i like both, but prefer dealing with snaps in the wash!
Oh, this si tough. I think it depends on what "stage" I'm in. Newborns and infants I prefer velcro...but once they are taking it all off, I'm a snaps girl!

I prefer snaps b/c they are harder for little hands to undo. Also because they seem to hold up better than aplix.

aplix gets the best fit
I like snaps. They look less "medical" and they make the diaper look more uniform and clean lined. With velcro, you have to worry about the fuzzies getting caught up in it.
I have only bought snap closure diapers for my expected child due to longer wear.

Snaps. The velcro wears out way too fast and I have a hard time getting the velcro to un-velcro. Plus, my fingers get stabbed by the hooks on the velcro.

aplix closing diapers, they are super easy and have always worked for a better fit on my skinny but long son.
Since I will be a first-time mom in August, I think that I will like the velcro better (simply for an easier close). Otherwise, my sensible personality would choose the snaps because they will last longer & be harder for toddlers to undo.

I like both! But if I had to pick one, I would pick Aplix. I have a skinny baby...so the aplix works better for a nice fit. Plus daddy and grandma like it better than snaps!
