I have a DIY spray pal to save a little money, and it's less than ideal. Most diapers are too long, so they end up dangling in the toilet or the spray ricochets all over the magazines that my husband insists on keeps RIGHT next to the toilet bowl. I never know if the water that hits them as poo in it or not. It's JUST gross. Would LOVE to have a legitimate Spray Pal!

Amber Dunn said...

I've never used a sprayer! We're pretty new to cloth diapering.

J. Olson said...

Would love to try this. Sometimes our sprayer goes bonkers and I loathe cleaning up the toilet and floor when I'm done.

Attempts @ spraying clean our last poopy diaper ended w/ an explosion & an entire bathroom scrub down. Followed by a shower for mom. Gross.

Marissa B said...

My son hasn't yet started solids, but I'll certainly need a spraypal when I start spraying diapers! I can just see my man trying to make a makeshift one and things going awry...

I don't have a story - yet! My little one is just 4 months old and breastfed so we haven't needed a diaper sprayer yet. However, in a couple of months we will start feeding him solid foods and then we will definitely need it! Before we had him, a friend invited us over to teach us about cloth diapering. They gave us a demonstration of their diaper sprayer - awesome!

We don't have a sprayer yet.. We will be getting one as soon as financially possible though and I consider a Spray Pal to be essential when using a sprayer.

Valarie said...

I don't have a diaper sprayer yet, and wouldn't get one UNTIL I have a spray pal. So far we've been doing the dreaded "dunk & swish". It's horrid.

AgKB said...

Let's just say we've had to "fishing" for dropped cloth wipes in the toilet more than once when cleaning up our LO's starting solids peanut buttery transition poops!

Katelyn McKim said...

I don't have a diaper sprayer or a spray pal. I do the old scrub a dub in the tub. ;-) the worst moment I've ever had was when some of the poopy water splashed up and I got some on my face xD

LJ said...

My husband thinks that if overspray happens, you only need a towel to dry it up. I'm kind of concerned about what might be carried in the water, if you know what I mean. I'd love a spray pal!

Donna Marie Williams said...

I would love to have one of these! Its on of those things that I keep adding and taking away from my cart.

Brandi Haeft said...

I caught me 2 year old cleaning off my sprayer the other day. She had a piece of tp and said mom I'm cleaning off this sprayer. It was too funny.

Holly said...

Funniest story I have is my 18 month old loves to watch me spray his diapers and as now learned how to use the sprayer. The other day I caught him dragging his clean diapers into the bathroom dropping them in the toilet and then spraying himself and my entire bathroom down with the sprayer.LOL I had to laugh at the time to keep from crying at the mess I had to clean...Maybe, just maybe the Spray Pal will help him with his aim next time. :)

I currently SCRAPE my son's poop into the toilet. That's it, no sprayer at all! Please pick me!

I think it would help between leg blocking the baby so he doesn't fall in the toilet and spraying myself when I turn to yell at the toddler.

Mary-Margarette said...

My funny story about my diaper sprayer is that I bought it several months ago and it's still in the package. I've just been using my shower head to spray my diapers in the toilet and I need this because the shower head is pretty strong!

Katrina Flagg said...

I am a first time cloth diaperer to my third child. Once he begins solids, a spray pal will make my busy life much easier!!

while spraying a diaper it splattered all over the edge of the toilet. As soon as that happened the baby decided to come in and my hands were full. Needless to say i couldn't keep her from putting her hands in it. Yuck!

This is the only way I'll convince my husband to use a diaper sprayer.

Shandell said...

We have one teensy bathroom and a toddler in cloth. Spraying doesn't always stay in the toilet- I've found dry poo on the edge of the tub after my husband sprayed out a diaper. Ugh!

Sarah Hayes said...

im so tired of stuff splashing everywhere! this would help keep it contained and clean

Jessica Gazsi said...

The very first time we used our sprayer, I had no idea it was adjustable, so I turned it on full blast, and it ricocheted so far that we had to buy new toothbrushes!

MB P said...

Lauren Rockafellow said...

My husband always finds poop spots that I missed when I clean up after the inevitable diaper sprayer mishap.....I keep telling him I never miss but let's be honest....how is that possible?! I so need a spray pal!

Love Me said...

Earlier, I was cleaning a particularly stinky diaper from my toddler. I was distracted by the smell and not paying attention to what I was doing with my sprayer. I was all set up and pulled the trigger. I got sprayed in the face!! In my distraction, I hadn't realized I was holding my sprayer upside down!! At least it was just water though.

Erlinda said...

Nothing funny about a malfunctioning diaper sprayer... and getting poop everywhere but the toilet (lol) I really could use a Spray Pal.

Melissa said...

Never fails, I just shower and get it all over myself and the bathroom

petchk79 said...

I had to spray my first diaper yesterday. I thought the detachable shower head would reach the toilet. I was wrong. Very wrong.

Haven't used a sprayer yet but I'm debating getting one. A spray pal seems to help. :)

Anonymous said...

Well I really need a cloth diaper sprayer.
everytime I try to spray my diapers it apparently sprays small pieces of poo all over my wall and I just so happened to notice some of the brown stuff on my wall is not a part of the chocolate colored paint stripes. ( my bathroom is pink and chocolate colored)

Christina Swenson said...

The diaper sprayer would help me out because I don't have one yet, so I don't have any funny stories yet either.

I don't have a diaper sprayer, yet. But as of right now I have gloves, 5 gal bucket & put it in the tub and run them under the water to get the poop out. But my sinks in the way so it's back breaking with two kids who wont leave me a lone. if I won this then i'd have a reason to get the diaper sprayer ;)

So far, there hasn't been much funny, just frustrating as water tends to get everywhere. This is definitely on my to-buy list, but we have to get the money first. In the meantime, it would be lovely to get it now because we won it!

Elizabeth Bergman said...

new to cloth... my sprayers on back order would love to geet one of these to go with it

Zara G said...

Don't have a sprayer yet, so dunking can sometimes be too 'squishy'....

Meghan Duvall said...

I actually don't own one yet. I am expecting my first baby any day now. We are cloth diapering, but don't have a sprayer system.

Megan M said...

We haven't had the need for a diaper sprayer yet (we're in the process of introducing solids), but I anticipate a need for one!

Jennifer said...

We just started cding and needless to say it gets everywhere when my husband rinses them. I really don't have a funny story though.

Maria Ivey said...

I decided we would save the money and not get a sprayer. Our bathroom is small and the toilet is right next to the tub and we have a detachable shower head. We use that as a diaper sprayer. It's difficult to adjust the spray strength though so water sprays all over the place.

Marsha C said...

I don't have a sprayer yet, but I'm getting one soon!

Cassandra Fujimoto said...

I'm new to cloth diapering and would love to have this to prevent my many gross accidents with the sprayer!

I would love one of these!! It would be so much better than hubby leaving all the poppies for me to spray and *hopefully not* get poop everywhere.

Julie D. said...

I don't have a diaper sprayer yet- my baby isn't due until May. However, I think the spray pal would be helpful in keeping any gross/funny stories from happening in the first place :)

Haven't used a sprayer yet since our little one hasn't arrived yet. But I have heard all the great things of having a sprayer pal. One being that you can use the diaper sprayer at full force without making a huge mess!

Katrina B said...

I dont have a sprayer yet but will be purchasing one for my next baby!

Melissa Tharpe said...

When I told my mom I wanted to cloth diaper my baby, before I could even tell her how wonderful it is she said "Eww you have to get in the toilet and wash everything and that's gross." I would love to have a Spray Pal to show her I can do it without even throwing up (and she can too)!

Sew What said...

I don't have a sprayer. This is why my diaper pail stinks.

momtomany said...

Poop spray everywhere would be funny when you are holding on to the diaper with one hand spraying with the other and the diaper goes straight down the toilet because you do not have a good grip on it, now that is just hilarious!

laurad said...

Expecting baby #1 in May...have registered for a SprayPal--have heard great things. Would love love love to win one, though!

Christina H said...

I'm just starting the CD journey so I've never used a sprayer before but this looks like it would be very helpful!

Anna Jimison said...

I am currently pregnant with my second baby, and have been doing a lot of research on cloth diapering. I did not cloth diaper my son, but I am very determined to cloth diaper and cloth wipe this baby. We have not used a sprayer, but it is a must on our list! I would love to get one!

I have had a sprayer for 6+ months and have never used it because I don't want to spray poo/ poo water in my bathroom :/

Jenni Jones said...

Using my diaper sprayer is one funny story after another... Poo goes flying, on a daily basis - I had to wash my CEILING the other day, and have almost given up, and gone back to the "dunking" method...

Sharon said...

My son loves blueberries. His diapers can be quite nasty after and I sprayed one such diaper and got poop on my face. Spraying messy poop is no fun. It is sometimes just part of the job as primary diaper Engineer.I would suggest not doing it regularly.

Mamma Pea said...

I don't have a funny story, I'm new to cloth and don't have a sprayer....yet.

Jane said...

Oh my goodness gross water all over the bathroom! And a few times I've barely missed showering my curious toddler with it - ICK.

Jennifer Storey said...

There is constantly overspray EVERYWHERE. My super manly husband refuses to clean off the diapers either... because he doesn't want to get his hands dirty. Sigh.

Ashley Barrett said...

Funniest was when hubby was shaking out the nighttime poopy diaper in the toilet and I stuffed it with an extra prefold that he didnt notice and it plopped right in the toilet! He accused me of hiding things to booby trap him :)

Elizabeth Crabtree said...

I don't have a diaper sprayer, wish I did. I used a cup of soapy hot water. :/

Kalli M said...

I have a sprayer.. but not a spray pal. It's caused a few problems...

Mikenna Long said...

I've never had a sprayer, so at the time I "sprayed" breastmilk poo in the kitchen sink..
It grossed me out!
