Right now I'm using Huggies, cause I like how it smells and I have a lot! But, I'd like to use something more natural!

I just use Johnson's shampoo and body wash. During the winter we were using some lotions, but with the advent of warmer weather and consistent use of cloth diapers, there's only an occasional need for that. Very rarely do we need diaper rash cream, it was a gift, and I hate using it because that means using a disposable, we only have a few hanging around the house, luckily the bigger sizes seem to last longer than the smaller ones did. I haven't had to go buy any more soap/lotion/creams, I still have a bunch tucked away on a shelf!

WE use a combination...mostly burt's bees products at this point.

I use a bunch of different brands; mainly California Baby, Northern Essence, Grandma El's, and random baby washes (I got a lot for him from friends)

Your button is on my blog---

I somehow missed the "and WHY?" portion of the question. I use California Baby because it makes a great diaper area spray that smells good and I can use it with my cloth wipes. I use Aveeno due to skin issues, I use Erbaorganics because it was on sale and smells good, I use Grandma El's because it is cloth safe and works wonders on diaper rash!!

V said...

Right now we use Aveno mainly with my son since its something we can easily find in stores and works on his sensitive skin.

I use Burt's Bees and really like it for my kids.

Jammie said...

I have been using Burt's Bees exclusively. I love that the products are natural and they smell great! I have been using Burt's Bees for myself for years, so it makes sense to use them on my baby. Plus, I went to school in North Carolina and love it there (it's where Burt's Bees is from).

Adeleide said...

I use johnson&johnson for everything, although I do use Grandma el's for rash remedy. I use j&j because it's easier for me to find and I cannot afford to buy the natural stuff because it definitely does cost more.

I do not use a specific "brand" of skin care products on my two boys. They both get very bad eczema flare-ups so I am very limited to what I can use. I have recently been using a handmade soap specifically designed for eczema sufferers that I got off ETSY.com and we are LOVING it! Other than that. . . its hit and miss with any skin care products.

I use Burt's Bees mainly because it was the best that I knew about. I now know that there are much better washes, lotions and creams out there, but I haven't gotten to try any of them. My baby DD is almost 3 months old and we are searching for that perfect body wash for her super sensitive skin. We have to be really careful be she will break out is rashes super easily!

austinmomtr said...

We use Badger Sunscreen - it makes our DD white with the zinc oxide, but it has a nice scent and I feel good about not using a chemical sunscreen on her at this point.

austinmomtr said...

Tip for a new diaper product - a wet bag that hooks onto the outside of your diaper bag. When I pick up our DD from the sitter, I don't like putting the dirty dipes in the wetbag into my backpack that also has her bottles, etc in it. I would love the wetbag to hook onto the outside of my back pack.

I use Aubrey Organics for baby wash/shampoo/lotion. They have great ingredients and are a good price as well. For diaper cream I sometimes use pawpaw ointment, and I also tried another natural ointment which had great ingredients, but I think something must bother my daughter, because she gets redness when I use it. I found that plain old extra virgin olive oil works great as well!

I'm due with my first in a few weeks, and I'm sure I'll end up using several, however, I HAVE decided to use Cetaphil cleanser rather than J&J baby soap as I found out it is perfect for baby's sensitive skin -- just like it's great for mine! Also, probably some Cetaphil cream for little exema spots!
