Most of our diapers are aplix, my husband's favorite, but I prefer snaps. It is a little more difficult to fasten with a busy, mobile toddler, but the extra time is worth it if the diaper stays on! The aplix isn't holding up either, so snap closure lasts longer.

It's hard for me to decide which I prefer. I like the adjustability of aplix but I love the low maintenance of snapping closures. If I had to choose just one, I'd go with snaps.

I like the diapers I have with aplix closures, but I know the snaps hold up better. I wish my favorite aplix diapers came in snaps!

SNAPS!!! Much more durable. And I hate velcro sticking to everything. I am sad that bumgenius only makes the pockets velcro... because I like everything else about the diaper. Sad.

I like aplix closures because it's faster. However, i've been experiencing failling aplix since I've been using them a long time (one-size diapers) and definitely think that snaps are a better choice when longevity is a concern.

Ummm both. :) Aplix is so fast, but also such a pain in the laundry once it isn't new anymore... snaps are slower (for me, anyway) but you can just toss it in the wash and not worry about it snagging on anything. I love that.

I prefer the snaps mostly for the long term. Even though the aplix can get a nice snug fit, they just don't lat as long as snaps. Since I have been using mine a long while I have reached the point where i have had to replace the aplix on my diapers and it is a little bit of a hastle.

even though aplix closures give you more flexibility in making sure the fit is perfect for your child, my son is figuring out how to open them, meaning he streaks around the house holding his diaper and laughing! Snap closures are nice and durable--another drawback of aplix is that mine has disintegrated in the wash/dry in about a year--but again, you don't get the "custom" fit that you do with aplix. All in all, though, I prefer snaps to aplix! And PS...I love LOVE rumparooz diapers! can't wait to try one! --camille :)

I think the aplix offer a little more sizing flexibily and are quicker to use. However, I can see the benefit of using the snaps with an older child because they take a little more strength to remove.

Snaps are the best for us. They are longer lasting & harder for a toddler to take off. I also like how they don;t scratch things or get stuck to shirts/sweaters, etc.

I like them both for different reasons. I like aplix because you can get a tighter fit and it's quicker, but snaps last longer and stay new looking longer.Snaps also don't get caught on things in the washer! The aplix always starts to curl after a while and get stuck to things even if they have washer tabs.

I only have snap closure diapers right now. As I was reading reviews I got a little worried about the aplix wearing out. I am content with the snaps, though interestingly one of the diapers with snaps actually lost a snap during the first wash. (The company was great and they will fix it). So right now, I'm a snap fan.
