gnatalie said...

I would say that I love not having bag after bag of trash from the stinky disposables. I can't imagine having all that smelly trash. Around here, we rinse out each diaper & throw a stink-free diaper in the pail. Second reason is that we save a lot of money. We made an initial investment and now we never worry about calculating diapers into our family's budget.

We moved today and we used some 'sposie inserts while in transition. As soon as we got feet in the new place, I switched her out. Even the biodegradable ones 1. stink and 2. can pop open leaving those nasty gel balls on your baby. With cloth, that doesn't happen. There are plenty, plenty more!

My 2 reasons for cloth diapering:
*My daughter was allergic to all but 2 brands of disposable diapers
*We save a lot of $ by washing our own and not buying the other kind - and even more $ now that we have a second child on the way.

My two reasons are:
I love not buying diapers all the time.
My daughter's skin is sensitive and she reacts badly when wearing disposable diapers anyway!

Number 1: I just love knowing that soft cloth is next to his skin instead of chemicals and 'paper'.

Number 2: love the ecology and economics to it. Greener in every sense. Can't beat it.
