I prefer snaps. All my research has lead me to believe that aplix will just not last as long, no matter how careful I am in laundering them. I want my dipes to last multiple kids if I can swing it.

Snaps!! I hate when the velcro sticks to my other diaps in the laundry.

It depends on the situation. I used to have all aplix, but when summer came last year, I invested in a 'whole load' of snaps. I used them for tshirt/dress and playing outside (no pants!) and used the aplix under pants or for naps and night time when it would be covered to keep busy fingers away from it! So.. both!

I Have different reasons for liking both aplix and snaps. They both give a different fit depending on the baby. Also they are different on each brand of diaper. I have a pretty wide variety of diapers and each snap and aplix is different. Gosh its hard to pick! I guesses if I HAD to choose it would be snaps.

I definitely prefer snaps because they last much longer, aren't easy for DD to remove, and don't make weird, scratchy noises (yes, I pay attention to stuff like that!).

I prefer snaps because there's no chance of the velcro edges rubbing my son's tummy and leaving marks, I think snaps look nicer, they last longer, easier in the wash, no need to stick down the tabs before I toss the diapers in the pail, the velcro can get bumped and on pants when I pull them up or other things little by little and come loose, and when he is older, the snaps won't be as easy for him to unfasten by himself.

We use both snaps and aplix. We have mostly fuzzibunz and bumgenius. In my short experience cloth diapering I have found the velcro type ones to be easier. (My daughter is 9 months and wiggly!) I like the ease of the velcro. I think that as she gets older (and our diapers get older) we will appreciate the snaps much more. She won't be able to undo them, and they will probably hold up better in the laundry.

We are huge advocates for cloth diapering and are trying to convince all of our friends with babies to at least try cloth diapers. We rattle on and on about the benefits to both baby and environment. We talk about how easy it is. We love cloth diapering...and we love what you are doing here to open others' eyes to the world of cloth diapering! Thanks for helping make this world greener...we are in it with you!
