I have a dozen flats and plan on using them to start off because they are adjustable for whatever size baby I end up with I also am going to keep a set of flats and a camp style washer with an extra bag of soap in the closet In Case of Emergencies like hurricane power outage or road trips
I've always just had pockets, recently used prefolds on my newborn but I'm trying to expand my cd experience and try other types. My goal is to participate in the flats challenge next year.
I haven't tried flat diapers. As a new mom, they kind of intimidate me. But I like that it seems like you can make a flat diaper out of anything--old receiving blankets, t-shirts, etc.
I haven't tried flat diapers yet. As a new mom, they're kind of intimidating. But I like that it seems you can make flat diapers out of anything in a pinch--receiving blankets, old t-shirts, etc.
I would love to try some flats! I'd love to take them on a vacation since they seem very forgiving as far as a washing routine (using someone else's washer) and I could even handwash if needed. Also, they take up less room.
I haven't tried flats- they intimidate me! Plus, I have a very heavy wetter and I'm afraid to try something new that might not hold as much. But I supposed it's worth a try. :)
My mom gave me the flats she used when I was a baby. I have to say they are so much better than todays flats you buy in the stores. I liked them better than my prefolds as well.
I haven't tried flats but have used prefolds a few times. I think using them would reduce the wear and tear on pocket diapers though! jbang0331 at yahoo dot com
Flats have been my mainstay since the birth of my baby four months ago. I had not done much research on cloth diapers and had hurriedly grabbed the store brand flats when my baby was erupting in rashes with the disposable ones. They have been very versatile combined with econobum and other diaper covers I sewed after. Will repurpose them as soakers in AIO's which I plan to sew next.
I have tried flat diapers and I am still hesitant to use them. I have used the flats as doublers in my other diapers but I am afraid they will not be as absorbent as I am used to! I think they would help my diaper routine greatly in that they would be much easier to pack and take along with me, and they would be easier to clean because I can bleach them and put them in the dryer. I have a lot of flats and am hoping to use them more often once I get the courage!
I have flats that I use inside all my pocket diapers now. Since they unfold in the wash (like a tea towel) they get super clean and don't hold stinkies!
I haven't tried flat diapers and I don't know how they'd help my routine because I'm new to cloth diapering. My diapers are on the way in the mail!! :)
I haven't used flats but I am interested... perhaps I'll give it a shot if we have another baby. Sounds like a great option for a newborn/younger baby that goes through a ton of diapers.
I have a couple flats but would really like more. I have to handwash due to the only laundromat being 40mins away so they dry really quickly on even the most humid days!
I diaper exclusively with prefolds (and a couple of fitteds) and have wanted to try flats. Unfortunately, we're moving next week, or I would definitely be taking part in the flats handwashing challenge!
I used flat diapers when my kiddo was first born, I think that it is something I'd like to try again. At the moment, we have all pocket diapers. I have even made some of his pocket diapers.
I've never tried flats before, but they're very cost effectice which is a huge plus in my book! Plus I could easily wash them by hand and hang them to dry in the sun!
I've never tried flats but I'd like to as they're very cost effective, not just in purchase price but also because they'd be really to easily to wash by hand and dry in the sun.
I haven't tried flats yet, but I really really need to get some. Our washer isn't very reliable and hand washing flats while our washer is getting repaired would make my life easier.
I started with flat diapers, I don't use them much anymore since my little one fits into the one size but I do love how easy they are to wash and dry, especially for camping!
I am just starting out and wanted to try flats because they would save money and last longer. My sitter (aka mom) vetoed that idea and I am getting os pockets. I may sneak in a few flats & a cover for when I am home though!
I have never tried flats, but I love my prefolds. I like the versatility of flats and feel like they could be repurposed easily after we are done with diapering. There are so many things to try within cloth diapering! I think I would need to have a couple of more kids to get to everything.
I have never tried flats, but if they are easy to use like the prefolds I have tried, I would love to try them! The prefolds are easier to wash so I would assume so would the flats.
Just starting out.. Would love flats bc they are budget friendly and would last longer. Only for my use though. My sitter aka mom won't go for it. She was hard to convince to cd, until I said she could leave the poo for me!
I haven't tried flats, but I recently made some back-up t-shirt diapers. They're the same weight of cotton as the average commercial flats I've seen online, but I left them in a loop so they're easier to fold!
I am new to motherhood and cloth diapering. After doing soooo much research, I am excited to get started and would like to try different methods (flats, prefolds, pockets...). Thanks!

I've never used or tried flats. I used prefolds with my son some, but have stuck mostly to pockets with my daughter, though did use fitteds when she was a newborn. I have used prefolds on her a few times when I didn't get my diaper laundry done quick enough, lol.
I have used flats and for some reason they ended up in a box in storage, I have pulled them out and rekindled my love for them! I have been having stink issues with my microfiber in my pockets but I forgot how I don't have stink issues with my flats because they are a natural fiber and easy to wash all the stuff out of.

I like flats but I don't use them often now. Pockets are so much faster to put on, and my baby is usually trying to get away before we ever get started.
I just started using flats a few days ago to get ready for the flats challenge. But I am just using all our flannel recieving blankets with flip cover. Seems to be working great so far.
We love flats! We use them with cute covers and for when my daughter gets diaper rash. She has a super sensitive bum so the flat lets her skin breath without a cover.

We are going to try flats with our first baby
I haven't but they seem pretty simple and very cost effective!
I love my flats, they have made such a difference in our diapering. So much easier to care for, and so versatile!
I've never tried a flat - prefold was my biggest stretch!
never tried a flat - perfolds were my biggest step outside my AIO comfort zone (so far...)
I love flats! I love to fold them up and use them as pocket inserts, or I use them coverless for spray-free air time when we have rashes.
Never tried flats before.
I've never tried flats, but we use prefolds & covers exclusively so I think that's close enough. :)

I Have tried flats before, and I'm not too well versed in their folds, but they do wonders for keeping the bum aired when LO has a rash!

Haven't tried flats yet, but I hear they are wonderful. Looking forward to trying them with our newest addition.

I've never tried flats before, but I think they'd be much easier to wash and would probably save us quite a bit of money.

I love flats for travel :-)
I haven't tried flats. At this point they won't be part of my routine, but I might try them in the future.
I have never tried flats but I think they could be a good laundry day diaper. I think they could be a bit bulky.
I have not tried flats...would love to try them! - Kenzie
I have not ever used flats or wanted to... until recently. We have several on their way to our home!! I am excited to give them a go!!
My mom gave me the flats she used when I was a baby. I have to say they are so much better than todays flats you buy in the stores. I liked them better than my prefolds as well.
I have never tried flats, but I think they would be a nice alternative to the prefolds I have.
We have not tried flats, because we don't think they'd work well for us.
I love my rumparooz and would really love these new prints!!
I never have, but I'd love to. Our babe isn't due until August so I'm slowly building our stash. Thanks for the opportunity!

Never tried flats... We use prefolds and that's as crazy as I get ;)
I've tried flats but didn't have much luck with the folding!
I've never used flats but I think it would be great for overnight use.
I haven't tried flats on my own kids but I have when watching a friend's daughter. I'm sure they dry significantly faster!
We love flats in our house they dry quick and wash clean so easy :)I recommend them to everyone who wants to get started :)

I haven't tried flats, but then again I haven't tried any! Hoping to get my stash ready for the little guy I'm expecting this August.
I've never tried flats but would love to try them because they can be line dried quickly.
So adorable!
I'm super intimidated by flats and prefolds, I only use them as stuffing in my pockets
I've never tried flats. Closest thing I use are fitteds, which are not the same at all.
I haven't tried flats yet but my son is only 17 days old so I'm still trying things out.

We have not tried flats, because we did not think they would work well in our stash.
I love using flats. They are economical and there are minimal leaks.

I have not yet tried flats, so I'm not sure how they would help with diapering. I'm new to cloth diapering, so I'm still trying out different things.
I've never tried flats, but I guess it would be a lot like using prefolds with covers.
I've never used flats, but i guess it wouldn't be any harder than using prefolds and covers.
I just tried them! Great for travels :)

Pick me pick me!!!!!!!
I haven't used flats but I am interested... perhaps I'll give it a shot if we have another baby. Sounds like a great option for a newborn/younger baby that goes through a ton of diapers.
No, I haven't. I'm happy with pockets and AIOs, so I might not ever try them.
I have a couple flats but would really like more. I have to handwash due to the only laundromat being 40mins away so they dry really quickly on even the most humid days!

I love flats! They are my go-to diaper! DH isn't a fan though, he calls them the "foldy" ones, haha!

I've never tried flats, but I'm sure that washing them would be pretty simple!
I used flats when baby was a newborn. Interested in trying them on an older baby. I know they dry really fast.

We use flats as our day diapers. They're easy to pack when travelling and a life saver during hurricane season.
I actually just began using flats and love them. I wish I would have started using them sooner. They are so convenient and wash so much better

I'd like to try flats because they can be handwashed.
I just ordered some covers to try flats! This would be a great addition :)
I've tried flats in pocket diapers...they're more absorbent and wash up really easily compared to microfiber.
I have not used flats, but I would like to try them.
I have not tried flats but I hope to soon.

Haven't tried flat diapers and probably won't.
I have never tried a flat diaper. My mom pulled some out when I told her I was going to start using CS, but it looked too complicated.
Yes. I use flats to make a thicker diaper for my very heavy wetter.
I would love to have these in my stash to try, they are so stinking cute :)

I hav not tried flats, new to cloth diapering with baby number 2 due in July!
Never tried flats-I'm loving my prefolds so I think I would like the simplicity of the flats!
Beautiful diapers!
never tried them
I haven't tried them but I wouldn't think they are too much different that prefolds (which I have used).
I would love to actually use flats outside of the simple pad fold but for now it works for us.
I use flats with my two year old for her night time diaper! We love it. It's just so easy
I use flats pad folded in a flip cover I love how economical they are They're also really trim
I have not tried flats, but I would like to.

I've never tried cloth diapers, actually...but we're planning on cloth diapering with #2 (due in June!) So, I'll have to try flats...
I haven't tried flats yet, but I think they'd be good for overnight
I've never tried flats. They seem like a lot more work.
I have a few flats, but haven't tried them out yet. I'm excited to bc they're hemp.
Never tried flats but variety in the cd routine is good! I'd like to try them as inserts too.
I have never tried flats. They kinda scare me! But I am sure they would come in handy in an emergency.
I have not tried flats but I think they would be easy to wash and care for them.
I have never tried flat, didn't know they existed until I saw a mom selling them at a cloth diaper sell/trade event. Got a little overwhelmed by the million different folds you was demonstrating. Though I do use prefolds, and they are the best fit but require the most changes.
I haven't tried flats but I would definitely love some for quick drying and the fact that they are the most compact for traveling
I think the question about flats was from last week? (But, last week's Fluff Friday inspired me to try flats - although my LO wet the diaper before I was done putting it on her! I'll try again, though - folding was much easier than I thought.) I love Rumparooz - they're my favorite pocket diapers!

Never used flats and don't really plan to...I've used prefolds though. I prefer my pockets mostly.
I have used flats and for some reason they ended up in a box in storage, I have pulled them out and rekindled my love for them! I have been having stink issues with my microfiber in my pockets but I forgot how I don't have stink issues with my flats because they are a natural fiber and easy to wash all the stuff out of.

I use flats as a doubler but would be willing to try
YES! we love flats because of how quickly they dry!
I get confused about flats vs. prefolds... I think the Flips inserts are flats and I use them and love them.
I've only used flats inside our pocket diapers, but would love to learn how to fold them & pin them on the baby.

Haven't tried flats. Haven't tried anything yet! Waiting for baby to get here!! :)
Love the new prints, dexter especially.
I'd love to try flats! They seems like a great way to move through multiple sizes!
I really like using flats! They are a breeze to wash and dry, plus they seem less bulky than prefolds.
Ive only ever used pocket diapers, but love trying all the different kinds out there!
I love using flats and prefolds with my newborns and infants. When they get too wiggly and mobile I prefer pockets.
I just started using flats a few days ago to get ready for the flats challenge. But I am just using all our flannel recieving blankets with flip cover. Seems to be working great so far.
I have never tired flats before. I would like to, but something tells me I wouldn't use them. I don't use the prefolds and covers I have now...
i use flats as inserts every now and then. they help bc they dry so quickly and add a ton of layers
I am doing the flats challenge! I like flats bc they wash up easily.
Ive tried flats to clear up a diaper rash it is the best. I'd use more but only have one.
We love flats! We use them with cute covers and for when my daughter gets diaper rash. She has a super sensitive bum so the flat lets her skin breath without a cover.
I have used receiving blankets when I was waaaaay behind on laundry, but would like to try them agin when theres only 1 kiddo in diapers.
I am going to try flats with baby #2 due in Oct! Hoping it will make things very simple if #1 hasn't potty trained. Lol
Im just about to try them, just have to find some to buy some, but we'll see!!
I've never tried flats, but love that they dry fast, since we don't have a dryer.
I've been cloth diapering for two years now and haven't tried flats. I'm thinking of trying them out this year though for the flats challenge =)
I am trying to start a cloth stash to switch from disposable diapers. Flats would help me get started.
Haven't tried flats but I am thinking of doing so for my little one coming in August.
I'm going to switch to cloth and not sure which would be best would love to win to try them
Have never tried flats, but would live to soon.
Have never tried flats, but would love to soon.
I've never tried flats. I think they'd be a fun challenge (folding them), but make washing easier.
I have not tried flats, but I use prefolds so I think I'd like flats also
i have 3 bamboo flats, which i use stuffed in a pocket diaper. all the folds are confusing, but they are absorbent and dry quick.
I have never tried flats because I am nervous to try new things, but I have always heard great things about them.
