My son is 20 months and we have only begun some arts and crafts, mostly because it just barely dawned on me that he was ready! So far we have colored with markers and crayons, used sidewalk chalk, and painted with water on the deck out back. I'd love to get some dough to play with next!

I haven't started with my LO yet - she's 7 months - but I will pretty soon. I started pretty early with my older boys - about as soon as I knew that they wouldn't eat the materials. :)

My son never cared for coloring or crafting until recently. He's 3, and he'd much rather be building (and destroying) things. I think he would enjoy this, though! He got to try Play-Doh at a friend's house and loved it, but I'd much rather give him a safe alternative. =)
