Hurray for cloth! As a recent cloth diaper convert myself, I"m excited to share my new obsession with others. And the person who was influential in converting doesn't even have children of her own yet! Looking forward to your promotions...

I love the promotion and the campaign. But I will have to say I don't do a great job at trying to sell people on switching. I guess since I have always CD'd and it was a personal decision on my part from way back in my college days (Long, long before actually having kids). I would love to read some of the entries. I know that you have lots of other things to post about but hopefully you will be able to share many of other mom's words with us.

Oh, I am a cloth converter master!!!
I am on a website with a lot of women, between myself and a few other CD moms, we have gotten nearly 50+ people to switch! All my friends who are pregnant, with first or second babies. Are also switching. Thanks to me of course! They didnt realize cloth diapers were so cute and easy. But once they saw my stash, they realized it was the way to go. Saving Money, Saving the Planet, and Saving their Babies Bums! It was plain and simple. People just havent been exposed to the "new" cloth ways. I was one ignorant, and thought of the basic prefold with plastic pant. But once I got on this site, I was sold! They are so cute and trendy! Way better looking than those bland sposies! I like matching their diapers with their clothes. Just in case one peeks out of their pants while bending over! I know I know.. sounds nuts! But I am simply nuts over cloth diapers! Heck, nuts over Kelly's Closet. I only have bought from one other site. But that is because their store front is about 30 miles from my house. But only a 3rd of cloth diaper dollars spent, were spent there. Oh, love me some Kelly's Closet!!!

What a great campaign. I can't wait to read the winning essays. I'm a newer (8 months) cloth convert myself, so I'm working on getting my friends to give it a try. I will be giving one of my friends 6 Bum Genius one size diapers when her babies are born (yes, twins). They don't know the sex yet, so I'm waiting to buy them until they are born so I can buy appropriate colors. That would be awesome to win 6 additional diapers...then I could give her 12 to start with.

Yay! I love contests!!!! I have actually been trying to convert 2 friends and my cousin to cloth. I'm pretty sure 2 of the three will be converting soon. Especially my friend who can sew the CD's herself.

Woo hoo...with the addition of the make your own cloth diapers and wipes blogs I have officially been able to convert my two friends because they both sew!!!

My cousin is still a work in progress and baby # 2 is due in 4 months. She has changed my DD several times and she loves the Bum Genius diapers...but she does not think her DH will go for it. So I guess I really need to work on converting him. LOL
