We buy as much food as possible from within 100 miles. It is a lot harder in the winter-time, so we do fair trade items then. In the summer we only have to buy oil, salt and chocolate from outside of our midwestern radius!

I use all natural cleaning products around the house including laundry detergent, glass & wood cleaners, all-purpose cleaners. They smell better anyway and they work great!

I do not use any harsh chemicals in my house for cleaning...except every other time I clean the toilet...so once a month. (toilets are just so gross that I never feel it is clean...)

I use environmentally friendly and non animal tested face wash(all natural), shampoo, deodorant(all natural) and laundry detergent...more expensive but it is my way of pampering myself.

i dont buy anything in an aerosol can. i make my own bathroom spray and room deoderizers with a water spray bottle and a mix of lavender and neroli essential oils.
