Keep a few for occasional use (travel, etc.), give a few to my friend for the same purpose (she uses cloth too), and donate the rest to a pregnancy center.

What would I do? I'd probably keep some for daycare (they won't use cloth)and then donate the rest.

If someone left me 500 disposables, I would make diaper cakes for all my pregnant friends- right now I have 3 and it seems like another every time I turn around. There's something in the water!

I would give them to the Perpetual Diaper Fund at our church building and to a couple friends who are pregnant.
I follow you on Facebook too.
I would make a display to show just what 500 diapers looks like in a landfill (with some info on why they are BAD!) and then tell people to check out some cute cloth dipes instead.
I'd save about 10 for those emergencies when our stash of 9 cloth diapers are all in the wash and give the rest to our local rescue mission.

Wow! what an interesting question! I would probably keep a few of them in case my child ever had a bad infection and then, like many other commenters, just donate the rest to local charities for women and children.

I wouldn't throw them away, because I feel like that's wasteful too. I would probably donate them to a shelter or someone who was in need.

I would take the diapers across the border and give them to all the families over there that are in dire need of care. (I'd probably take some flats or prefolds too for when the sposies are gone.) :)
I would definitely donate the diapers.

If I received 500 disposable diapers on my door step I would first find out if I have any friends or family members that can use them. If I could not find any one I would donate them.
I might just try to sell them.... I see disposables for sale all the time on craigslist. (to fund my cloth habit, of course!)
I commented on the diaper cycle.
I feel bad, I said I'd sell them, then I read other comments and they said they'd donate them. I'd find somewhere to donate them too.
Here's my entry for today: I would donate them, although I do like someone's idea of trying to return them (then I would use the $ to get some other baby necessity).
I would donate them to a homeless shelter. The ones around us are always in need of baby supplies.

I am expecting my first child, and though I have bought many cloth diaper in newborn size to try, I will still need disposable before I choose my favourite cloth diaper! So, I would probably keep some if it's newborn size!
The rest I would give to Moisson Québec!

well depending on the size- I'd keep them and use them as back ups for the few times we are out of clean diapers/covers/etc... I'm sure they would last until my babe was potty trained.

I could always use some of them for some sort of craft project :) I'm pretty crafy!

Well i would be happy as i am struggling financially right now. I am slowly buying cloth diapers every time i get money, but don't have enough to even get me through one day! So i would keep them or i may even post an ad on kijiji to see if someone would be willing to trade their cloth diapers for the disposables.

I would probably keep them. Our family goes out of town a good bit due to my husbands job. So I use sposies for our little one while we're gone. I have yet to learn the art of cloth diapers on the road :)

I commented on the "Weekend Super Saver coupon" post. Thanks for the free-shipping by the way. Totally took advantage of that.
My Monday comment. I'll add to my previous comment that I would probably keep some of the disposables for use on long weekend trips before I gave the rest away.
I would keep a few for those days when you just don't have time to wash the diapers or are on vacation, then I would donate the rest to family in need.

I would do the same thing that I did with all of our disposable diapers when we made the switch to cloth: donate them. we have a local battered women and children's shelter that most of our grown clothes go to.
Honestly? I'd keep 100 of them for emergencies and donate the other 400 to the food pantry because I know for sure that the govt. programs here do NOT help with diapers or any hygiene items.

I don't think I'd keep any of them. I really don't like disposable! We are staying with my parents this week and my mom asked me to bring disposable, every time I put one on my son I think of how uncomfortable it looks!
Hmmm... I suppose if 500 sposies were dropped on my doorstep, I'd take a few for myself for travelling and then divide the rest between my sister and sister-in-law (both already using sposies). I'd probably make them into diapercakes so no one would know I was regifting. :)
