Econobum was designed and created by the makers of bumGenius. Econobum gives everyone the opportunity to at least try cloth diapering. What we love is that for $49.95 you can get three one size covers and 12 one size cotton prefolds if you purchase the Econobum Full Kit. For under $100 you can cloth diaper your baby full-time (just purchase 2 full kits). That is a minimum savings of $2400 vs using disposable diapers!
Jenn and Jimmy Labit started Cotton Babies, Inc. in 2002. The company and store are located in St. Louis, Missouri. Starting from a modest beginning in the basement on their home, Cotton Babies, Inc. has grown into a worldwide producer and wholesaler for a full-line of cloth diapering products. As of this date, they have designed to make cloth diapering easy for the modern family.
Cotton Babies is the manufacturer of the famous bumGenius brand and 2 new brands: Econobum and Flip.

What a cool idea! This makes cloth diapering doable even on a really tight budget! Good job Cotton Babies!
Woo Hoo - I love Cotton Babies :) I think I have just about every diaper they make - except this one.
Such an affordable deal! Although most of my stash came from Cotton Babies, I wish they had come up with this when I was building my stash. I probably would have chosen this option over bumGenius because it is so affordable.
I really want to try these! They seem so perfect, especially for someone who has never done pre-folds and covers.
I bought one of these from Cottonbabies to try and I like it; the prefold isn't too thick and the folding lines are helpful. It fits my 17 month old really trimly too!
This is a great idea. I am just starting out with cloth diapering so I am in the process of building my stash. This would have been a great way to get started though because you can cloth diaper full time for a very reasonable price.
Wow, I didn't realize that Econobum was designed and created by the makers of bumGenius! Very cool!
Those multipacks sound like a really good deal. Especially if you are getting started.
is the prefold made only to be trifolded? Can you still newspaper fold with a snappi?

Depending on how the prefold fits your little one you should be able to fasten the diaper to your little one with the Snappi and still use the cover. If there's any excess poking out - you can simply stuff it back inside. =)

Oh how I wish this had been around when I first started cloth! I've only been cloth diapering 2 years now and am amazed at the changes I've seen already. I'll definitely keep this system in mind when reccomending diapers to friends who are interested. I love the fit of the BumGenius so I imagine this fit would be similar.
These look awesome! I'm curious to try them and see what the prefold is actually like. The folding lines sound great.

I'm curious what a "one size" prefold is. What size is it actually?
This sounds like a great idea and for super cheap too!! I just wonder if it would be very bulky? Hopefully the reviews will tell all! I would love to try it though!!
Sierra: The "one size" prefold is roughly similar to the standard "premium" sized prefolds (just a few inches shorter). Essentially with the prefold you would just fold it to fit the diaper.
