Cloth Diapers Are Not For Me

I have spent entirely too much time online looking at cloth diapers.
I have watched way too many videos about cloth diapers.
I have read way too many blogs about cloth diapers.
I have spent so much time thinking about cloth diapers that I have dreams about them.
This must stop! No more! Cloth diapers are not for me.

Cloth diapers are for my baby.
Cloth diapers are not full of chemicals and are so soft on her skin. I get the peace of mind that she is comfortable and safe. Cloth diapers are said to make potty training easier (which we will find out when that time comes) and reduce diaper rash (I can attest to that!). Plus, they put my daughter's adorableness through the roof. Come on, who can resist a baby in fluff???

Cloth diapers are for my wallet.
Cloth diapers can cost as much or as little as you want. Even the cheapest disposable diapers will cost you much more than the average cloth diaper stash. I have spent a good amount on my stash, but it is nothing compared to the alternative. Not to mention how much cheaper it will make diapering subsequent children.

Cloth diapers are for the environment.
Cloth diapers are not piling up in landfills. They are not full of harmful chemicals. My family's carbon footprint has been greatly reduced because of reusable diapers. Mother Nature loves me for using cloth diapers and rewards me with beautiful sunshine that makes my diapers white and stain-free.

I keep reminding myself of the reasons we have for choosing cloth. And that we did not choose cloth so I can have a hobby. I try to remind myself that they are “just diapers”. Yet, here I am. Stalking the mailman for “my” fluff mail to show up. I secretly visit Kelly's Closet for the newest coupons and find reasons to use them. I convince my husband that I want our daughter needs more diapers. I have to stop writing this blog about cloth diapers, so I can go finish washing a load of cloth diapers, so I can re-organize my cloth diapers. Then I can track my recent cloth diaper purchase, go take some pictures of Maxine in her newest cloth diapers, and pick out which cloth diapers I want to take to visit the family this weekend.
