I am currently using a combo of disposables and cloth. In the sposies, I use the Huggies Natural Care with Shea Butter, and after those are completely gone I will be exclusively using cloth wipes. I like the fact that the cloth wipes are as soft as I have imagined something needs to be in order to wipe my baby's bottom. I picked up a ten pack from a neat baby boutique here in Chicago, and would recommend them to anyone in the area. I also sometimes use the wipes as an extra barrier at night for when my DD has bowel movements. It helps to sustain the AIO's that she sleeps in at night, and I don't have to rinse the cloth heavily.

I don't know where you want me to put these, but I am currently a follower on FB, have you posted on my family blog, subscribed to your blog! I said it before and I will say each time I sign off, thank you for being such a great source for us CD'ing mamas.

I made my own wipes, which I wet with just plain water and stuff in a disposable wipe container. They are flannel on one side and fleece on the other. They work really well. I made about a million so I never have to worry about running out, which is good for me because I tend to use quite a few for poopy diapers. For on the go, I just have a bunch wet in a big zip top baggie.

I use a mixture of Kissaluvs Knit Terry Wipes and made flannel wipes. I love the flannel wipes as they are very soft and we use cloth all the time, even with sposie diapers. They are easy to wash right along with the diaper or with regular laundry.

I use cloth wipes. When I first started CDing, I used disposable, but never had a place to put the dirty wipes. The more I thought about it, the more cloth wipes made sense. No waste, and just as easy to spray off as the diapers. I currently use baby wash cloths as wipes, but would love to try other materials such as velor since it's so soft.

I'm currently finishing my supply of disposable wipes, and then I'm planning on using cloth wipes. It seems easier to just toss everything in the laundry. I like that I can toss the sposies when I need to clean a really nasty poopy, but I suppose I would just rinse the cloth wipes the way I do with the diapers.

I like the cloth the best becuase I dont have to feel like I am waistign my money whenever I do buy them from Walmart. I woudl LOVE to win this one! More wipes would be wonderful PLUS the pattern woudl be so much fun!! I already have started sewing my own diapers and woudl love to try another pattern! Prior to having my baby, I stockpiled several containers of Pampers Sensitive baby wipes. I was also given additional ones for presents. My supply is now dwindling since my baby is 9 months old. We've been using cloth diapers for almost 4 months. The switch to cloth diapers was fairly easy but for some reason switching to cloth wipes seems more difficult for us. I would love this sample cloth wipe package to try the different kinds of wipes before I spend $$ on them myself. mjones_82 @yahoo.com

I use bumGenius cotton flannel wipes. They are surprisingly soft and they wash up really well. I love that I can just toss them in the wash with the diapers and not have to worry about clogging up the toilet with disposables. I use them in the Prince Lionheart Wipes Warmer with distilled water and a squirt of witch hazel. I also usually take them straight out of the washer and put them in the warmer so they are already moist. Baby loves the warm wipes and we can feel good about saving money AND doing something good for the environment!

i use cloth wipes, i LOVE them because 1) it's annoying to have to throw away a disposable wipe separate from putting the diaper into the wet bag (i use wet bags at home too). 2) they work better!! i keep water with a tad of baby soap in a wipe warmer (2 cups) & then dunk each wipe as needed. that way they get a little sponge bath at each change. & i'm such a nut about it, we actually use "family cloth" (wipes instead of TP)...well, not dh, but the rest of us. However, i've never understood buying special ones. i just use dollar store baby washcloths. work great & super cheap.

My son is out of diapers but my soon to be born daughter will be using cloth wipes. Once I started researching cloth diapers it only seemed "right" to use cloth wipes as well. Just seems easier as I'll be throwing 'em in the wash with the diapers. So
why not?

Can't wait!

Amanda Bindel said...

Cloth wipes all the way!! I can get the job done with one cloth wipe (and seem to need several disposables usually). I do keep a small pack of disp wipes in the diaper bag, but I tend to still use cloth on the go. I just have water in a spray bottle that I spritz on the wipe. Even after potty training, we used dd's wipes for baths (she likes to have a washcloth for her face and another for her bottom) :-).

I am currently using both disposables and cloth wipes. I'm hoping to switch to all cloth wipes once all my disposables are gone and DD#3 arrives in March. But, I'm not sure how to use cloth wipes with the wipes warmer or how to use them for traveling... now I just use them with a foaming wipes solution to freshen my daughters' bums, particularly in the AM, after removing their overnight dipes.

I use cloth wipes exclusively, even with sposies. I think they work SO much better! Right now I"m using older baby washcloths: they have a textured side and a smooth side which works great for cleaning my son's bum. I'd love to expand my stash with some flannel ones!

Minnie said...

I use flannel cloth wipes. Sposie wipes have chemicals in them, are wasteful like sposie diapers and they are expensive too. Plus, it's only natural to want to keep the wipe in the diaper when your done. So there is no need to fish the wipes out prior to washing & cloth wipes really do a much better job at cleaning up the messes.

As I mentioned in a previous post, we use cloth wipes--at first my husband was resistant to using them because he loved the convenience of disposable. Just recently, as my husband was changing a dity diaper, he turned to me and said that he really notices that the cloth wipes are far superior to the disposable ones because they clean better. Previously we used to have to use multiple wipes for a dirty diaper, now we just use one cloth wipe.

I use wipes that I made myself. They are flannel on one side and fleece on the other. They are both soft enough for my daughter's bum, but they are also tough enough to clean up the messiest poop. And I never have the experience of wipes ripping, which has happened with disposable wipes.

Another reason why I love cloth wipes: I know exactly what's in the wipe solution and I can eliminate anything that irritates my baby's bum. I"m currently using 1 cup chamomile tea, 1 tsp Burt's Bee baby wash (we use that for baths), 1 tsp baby oil, and 1-2 drops lavender oil. I pre-wet the wipes (only a few at a time, to keep them fresh) and store them in a disposable wipes plastic box. It works great!

We use paper towels cut in half. We just wet them down or use a spray bottle with dry towels. I found the spray bottle is the best at cleaning our kids before they started solids.

I am a follower. I also use target brand wipes when we are out of paper towels or for a quick clean.

I am planning to use cloth wipes for my little one on the way. My mom is making me some from flannel, so I hope I like them!

I use cloth wipes. I have a combo of baby washclothes and BumGenius wipes. I use Kissaluvs Diaper Lotion Potion Concentrate mixed with witch hazel and spray either on the wipe or right on the bum.
