Smartipants is committed to making cloth diapering not only easy, but affordable. Our mission is to provide smart parents with smart solutions. We are dedicated to being 100% green, environmentally friendly, economical, and determined to keep our diapers proudly made in the USA! Our company has more than 7 years of diaper making experience and look forward to changing the world one smart diaper at a time.

Smartipants was the vision of Jessica, a mommy of four who was constantly looking for an economical, yet easy to use cloth diapering system. Jessica was the inventor of the first ever one size fits all pocket diaper. We are proud to have her on the Smartipants team.

Here's what Jessica has to say about her return to cloth diaper making, " When I began talking with the team at Smartipants, I knew I needed to bring in a true revolution in cloth diapering. I had to develop my ideas into one streamlined design. I didn't want to reinvent the wheel. I wanted something that would actually help people use cloth diapers, a reusable diaper without any kind of gimmicks or useless features. We needed simplicity but with fantastic functionality. We needed a diaper that would provide all of the things customers are looking for, trim, leakproof, adjustable, affordable and easy to use and care for. Smartipants is the true evolution of the modern cloth diaper. It is all of these things and more."

Smart for your Baby

Smartipants™ diapers feature our Leak-Guard Technology, keeping moisture contained, and your baby dry. Smartipants™ reusable diapers are designed to grow with your baby from newborn to toddler, babies 7lbs - 35lbs. PROUDLY MADE IN THE USA!

Smart for your Wallet

Instead of requiring 7,000 disposable diapers, the average baby needs only 24 - 36 reusable diapers, resulting in a net savings of nearly $3,000.00! In addition, Smartipants™ are not only the most advanced reusable diapers on the market, they are also the most affordable at just $14.95 each! Our products are all produced in our own local manufacturing facilities, and we are able to pass on those savings to you!

Smart for the Environment

Every year our country contributes roughly 3.4 million tons of disposable diaper waste into landfills. Using reusable diapers not only reduces the amount of solid waste, it also reduces the amount of harmful chemicals, oils, and trees required to produce them!

I love my Smartipants! I was skeptical that the inserts would really come out on their own, but they do!

Smartipants sound like wonderful diapers. I love the One Size idea, but have always been afraid that they'd be so bulky on my 8 month old but fit nicely on my 2 year old.

$14.95 is a great price!

I really want to try these! Not having to remove the insert would be so nice and the price is great!

These would be nice to try. I definitely like the idea of having the inserts come out in the wash. I know my husband hates pulling out dirty inserts.

I love my smartipants too! We're experiencing "tummy leakage" so i'm troubleshooting that right now...i think i just had it fastened too tight. I do love that I don't have to remove the inserts...but I end up doing it anyway to rinse a poopy one! I'm just wondering how they would fit on a newborn because my 13-month-old is still in the small snap setting! ~camille

These look nice! The three pack seem like a good way to try them out as well!

I really love the idea of not having to pull out the inserts. I mainly use BG 3.0--but sometimes pulling out the disgusting poop-covered insert is not cool. So if it really does come out on its own in the wash, we may need to invest in some of these...

I have to say that Smarti Pants is becoming one of my new faves for Riley. We visited the manufacturing facility a few weeks ago and it is state of the art. Diapers are being made in a super clean facility with fairly paid sewers. The diaper making process is amazing and the way they do it makes for super consistent diapers!

I would love liners that came out in the wash! I noticed that these are front snap diapers - I find it difficult to get a good fit around the legs with the other front snap diapers I have (the wings seem to drop leaving gaps). Does anyone have advice about how to get a better fit? Thanks.

I would love to try these! I like the fact that you do not have to pull the insert out! Doing that usually doesn't bother me but sometimes it is not very pleasant. I think I will recommend these to my friends and relatives who are new to CD'ing!

I want to use OS diapers once my baby is out of the NB stage (using fitteds until then) and Smartipants are definitely on the list of brands to try.

Hi Kristin,
The tabs of the Smarti Pants have 2 snaps on each tab and it really fits terrific on the tummy panel. I have never had the "wing-droop" when using them on Riley.

i think that the fact that these are made in the USA is on e of my favorite features!
That, and the fact that the insert really did come out on its own in the wash just made me phenomenally happy!

Camille:
You may consider folding the very top of the insert down a bit inside the "pocket" and see if that doesn't resolve the tummy leaking issue. Is this happening with a boy or girl? If this is happening with a boy, you may need to add some extra absorption up front since this area seems to get "doused" the most.

Although I haven't personally used this on a newborn - the diaper seems trim enough that it should work great!

Kristin:
Yes, these are front snapping diapers. They are cut a bit trim in the front so, unless your little one has extra slim legs, I don't think you'll experience gaping the same as you do with other snap diapers (depending on which manufacturer you're having issues with)... the fit is very similar to a bumGenius.

For your current diapers I would recommend sizing down in the rise and see if that doesn't help with the gaping issues. Oftentimes if the diaper is too big in the rise then it will not get the right fit in the leg area!

I think this is so neat! Thanks for the product profile! I'm glad they came back and made these diapers

I have four Smartipants and they are WONDERFUL for the diaper bag. They are JUST as easy as disposables to use. I really really love that I don't have to unstuff them. It makes it really nice for anyone that watches my little one. I am definitely purchasing more of these in the near future! OH, and the price can't be beat!

I love how affordable Smartipants are!

I haven't tried these but after seeing the price I may have to. I wish I had known about one sized products when starting out. I could have saved a bunch!

Brassy said...

I really like that these start at 7 pounds. So many "one size" diapers and covers are 10+ lbs and my daughter is almost 8 weeks old and still under 10 pounds! The price also seems great, making them a diaper I may have to actually try sooner than later.

I'd love to give them a shot. I am currently using BG 3.0 and love them but my daughter is very long and we're already all the way unsnapped at 6 months. I need something with a longer rise once she grows out of these.

I LOVE SMARTIPANTS! I hope to buy more as I can afford them. They are the most trim, work for overnight and my 7month old is still on the smallest setting. These should last a long time.
