When I was pregnant there was not even the slightest thought of using cloth diapers. Now 8 months into the life of my gorgeous daughter, I am a full speed ahead cloth-diapering momma! Wow, how quickly things can change.
It all began because no disposable diaper could contain my daughter’s bowel movements. After switching diapers many times I began looking into cloth diapers. After a lot of research and some convincing of my husband, I dove head first into the cloth-diapering world.
I started with the good-old-fashioned pre-folds with covers and soon bought some pockets, which began my addiction! If I have a free moment I am searching online to find a good sale. Or, if I happen to be in the area of my favorite baby boutique in town, I will make a quick stop, “just to look”, which always ends up with me leaving with a bag of new diapers!
I have learned so much about what I like, and what I could live without. My addiction has led me to try so many different brands and options. I have decided snaps work better than the Aplix for us and at the moment, I am looking to find a good WAHM snap pocket diaper. I really want to start using more organic material, oh-so-soft bamboo! I have a few bamboo pockets and I absolutely love them! Who knows when my next purchase will be, maybe when I finish this post!
I am sure my husband wonders why there is constantly a delivery of new diapers on our doorstep, but he doesn’t question anymore, he just laughs. If cloth diapers weren’t so cute, I wouldn’t have this problem!

Wow, you have quite an impressive stash already! My husband used to joke that I was a CD addict, too when I first started since I used to spend hours researching how to wash diapers, the best diapers for our needs, the cutest prints, etc!
Oh, man, I'm the same way! My mom was just making fun of me for how I talk about searching for more diapers all the time. I just want to try one of everything!!
Me, too. I love cloth diapers. I wish my husband laughed at my deliveries instead of asking "why are we getting more diapers? I thought we had enough?"! :-)
I am so excited that my obsession has inspired a friend of mine to try cloth with her next baby, on the way!
You sound just like me! Hehe, I began cloth diapering about 2 months ago, maybe less and I'm already addicted >.< !! I keep wanting to buy new diapers. My husband calls me a CD addict!!
i like your organization! i have been trying to figure out a better storage system for ours.
I'm totally addicted too! I think it would be even worse if I had girls because there are a ton of adorable pick/ girly dipes!!
I am with you on being an addict and my baby isn't even here yet. I have also begun making my own fitteds, pockets, and covers. I am totally engulfed in the whole cloth diapering thing.
I love searching for deals on diapers! And any excuse to get new ones. My husband tends to limit me though, but if I have a good reason (ie the little one is able to get himself out of aplix dipes) then I get the green light!
It's fun to try to identify all the different diapers and covers in your pictures. I like seeing "real life" pictures of them- you can see a little more what they're like instead of the perfectly arranged professional pictures.
I think we are addicts, but it's healthier than some addictions, so what the hay!
My husband tells me I'm a cloth diaper addict too. When I started cloth diapering several months ago I had no idea how many websites and blogs there were related to cloth diapering. I'm hooked.
I started cloth diapering for the exact same reason!!!! It has become more of a hobby now though. Looking for good deals on the diapers I love so much. I am liking fitteds the best. Side snapping are among my favorite. Although my favorite actual diaper is snapied. Now if she would just figure out how to put snaps on it I would be in cloth diaper heaven! But my bank account would be in trouble. lol
I have a feeling I am going to be the same way! I'm going to start a stash hopefully very soon... Even just looking online is very addicting!!!
I think this is the first time I've heard of anyone switching because disposables just weren't working. And nobody believes me when I tell them we never have a blowout in cloth!
I am a total addict. DH laughs at me when get excited about a recent find. I love to find new brands and types to try. It's like an adventure.
I love all the colors in the pics your posted!
I agree with the whole cloth diaper addiction thing. It will take over you! So funny, I have about four of the same exact patterns you do. Love it!
I wish I could try as many diapers...I'm sure it makes it easier to find ones you love. (p.s. for the editors -- a typo correction: "Ma'am", not "Mam").
That's a great stash! I love all the fun girly ones too!
im addicted too! just wish i had the money to warrant my addiction!
I loved reading about your CD experience so far. I have been doing it for about a month now and am really loving it. I have a little girl, but I only have diapers in yellow, blue and green so far. I can't wait to save up enough money to buy some in girl colors and patterns!
Nice stash! I quit using disposables because of all the massive blowouts (and the fact that my daughter removed her diapers in the middle of the night). We've got mostly snap diapers now, and never had a blowout! I haven't looked back - and it IS such an addiction!
I want the diapers! They sound great.
Sounds great.
I love stash pictures! I'm addicted to looking at diapers, but can't be addicted to buying right now! lol
I love CD! I gave myself a budget and was soooo sad when my budgeted money. If I had unlimited funds I would always be buying new dipes.
That's the challenge: cloth diapering without it costing just as much as disposables. :)
Love all of the colors in your stash! All of these pictures of other moms' stashes help me to justify my additional purchases!
I wish I had the money to buy that many diapers!! Guess I'll just keep doing laundry every day...
great stash photo!
