It depends on where we are going. If it's someplace I feel comfortable doing laundry (ie friends, family) then cloth...otherwise the gDiapers with flushable inserts.

Daily Post: I would love to try the gdiapers for trips. I am not a big fan of lugging around dirty cloth diapers... maybe I need a better bag to stash them in? For most trips we carry some disposables, but mainly flushables.
andrea.kruse at gmail dot com
We are planning a trip in February that is 1300 miles each way and we were planning to use disposables while we were driving and our cloth diapers while we were there. We figured it would be easier to just have the disposables for the drive

Fridays entry: We used prefolds and fitteds last trip with sposees overnight.
It really depends on the trip. I've used my cloth stash for short trips. If it was a long trip I'd use disposables. I haven't used any of the g diapers, but I'm definitely interested!

Depending on where we were traveling and how long, I might do cloth, especially if we were going to spend time with family, close friends, etc. If we were going to stay in a hotel, a hybrid system with flushable liners like gDiapers, GroBaby or Flip, would be GREAT!

I have used a combination of my cloth and disposables on a recent trip. We had a washer and dryer in our hotel room so it made it convenient to wash the diapers whenever I needed to. The disposables I used as a supplement for the times when I needed a break from washing.
I would love to have used the gDiapers with the flushable liners instead and plan to in the future!

So far, we have only used our regular cloth when traveling, but we have never gone anywhere for more than 2-3 days (and haven't flown). I think next time we travel, I would like to try the gDiapers at least for part of the trip, to know if I was ok using them for a week long get-away!

We haven't done a lot of traveling with the baby so far, and we've always just used our regular cloth. If we were to go on a longer trip, without washing facilities, I'd probably just use disposables.

I would take our BG's and flushable liners so I don't have to worry about poo stains on my diapers (esp. if we go somewhere that doesn't have a washing machine)

I would love to have a not-as-disposable option for when we travel to visit not-so-cloth friendly people.. like my mother.

I usually use disposables when I travel or flushable. Though, with 2 under 2 we don't go out much, so we haven't needed to use anything other than cloth.
andrea.kruse at gmail dot com
Since most of out traveling involves staying with family, I think I would probably just stick with cloth. And probably for camping trips I would stick with cloth too as they are never likely to be longer than my stash would last.

We are planning to switch to CDing after the holidays, so for now we use sposies. I suppose after we make the switch we'll have to play around with what works best for us. Possibly the flushable inserts would work best.
I am just starting out with cloth diapering and I am not sure what I would use for traveling.
I guess it depends on where we were travelling....We are visiting friends and renting a mountian home for thanksgiving...taking cloth. If we were going to Europe or something I would take disposables...

right now we use a combination of disposables and cloth on the road. The cloth we take are normally all in ones just because they are easier to change at rest stops to us.

I've used a variety while traveling, including disposables. It really depends on where we're going, how long we'll be there, and if there will be free washer/dryer access.

When we travel we use disposables. No guilt about it either!

On the few short trips we've done since our daughter was born we've used our cloth, but those are usually only a few days so I can take enough to get us through. For longer, if we were going somewhere like family's house, we'd take our cloth and what we need to wash there. But, as we plan a week long road trip next summer, we're planning on disposables...though looking at these gDiapers (or the new Flip), I'm thinking it might be possible to do something with disposable inserts...

I usually use cloth if we're staying with family or friends who don't mind cloth in their washers! But, if it's longer than days without that, we use disposables.

I use cloth whenever possible. I feel like I'm wasting money every time I use a disposable.
I would be pron to use cloth or something like the G.
I am due in a month, I think I would be open to using something like the G diaper or cloth when traveling.
I've used cloth when traveling and some disposables, but I recently got the new GroBaby system to try out.

We use gdiapers as I am allergic to disposable diapers and we love them. The flushable inserts are super easy to use and pack a waterproof zipper bag just in case there is not trash can available.
We use both cloth diapers and biodegradables when traveling.
Left a comment on "...what's in your diaper bag?"
I have yet to travel with my 3 month old daughter and we're still new to using cloth diapers. We're using prefolds with covers. With that said I'd probably use disposables if we traveled. I'd like to use the gro baby system to travel with if I could afford it. I like the options with gro baby.

I typically use cloth, but if the trip is long (like the 14 hour trips to Canada each year) I usually use disposables for the car trip and then cloth at the inlaws!
gitrecca at gmail dot com
I think it depends on where we were going and the mode of transportation. I'd love to say i'd stay true to cloth, and I probably would if we were visiting family, etc. I can't quite see myself taking a week-long disney vacation and hauling around poopie diapers though. I AM snickering thinking about the poor airline guy who might decide to inspect my luggage and open up a nasty wetbag! :)

We've used a variety when traveling in the past. It really depends on if we have access to washer/dryer & how long we'll be away. Right now, we're planning a 2 week trip over Christmas so probably use a mixture of cloth & gdiapers.

I haven't traveled yet while using cloth, but I will probably use Cloth. I love them too much to not.
While traveling, I think I would still like to try cloth diapering, but I guess it depends on where I'm traveling to and what I'll be doing while traveling. If my access to water for cleanup during diaper changes, I may opt for a biodegradeable option.

Mondays entry: When we were on our week trip washing teh diapers turned out to be not a problem at all! The place we were staying had a coin laundry in a closet upstairs! I just rinsed them in the tub in our room to cut out one wash cycle since there were others that were using the washer as well then washed as usual. I ended up startling the lady who lived behind the washer cause she thought I was someone else. When she saw me switching the laundry she saw that I was washing diapers. She was really interested in them and asked lots of questions. She was pregnant at the time. We developed a friendship and still keep in contact!

We are getting ready for baby #2 and hope to cloth diaper. For travel and otherwise the gDiapers, Grobaby, and new Flip seem to be great options. You can easily reuse the shell, requiring less bulky packing of diapers.
Addt'l the biodegradable gDiaper inserts are GREAT for places where you want extra diaper convenience.

I travel with cloth...as long as I'm not gone too long or have access to laundry facilities. I would be interested in flushable options if they were more economical.

we have used several different options when traveling. when my son was younger we just used disposables and then i got brave and used bumgenius on vacation when my son was 6 months. then at christmas when we went to stay with my inlaws for 2 weeks i found gdiapers and used those and love them. now i use these when we go out during the day for playdates, shopping etc. great option so i don't have to carry around a poop diaper all day. we also have the cloth inserts which are very absorbant.
Now that I have gro baby diapers and their new flushable inserts, I will travel with them!!

We haven't used cd's yet, so I'd say disposables (since that's what we used with our last 3). However, when we have our next one, I think I'll end up using cd's all of the time, even traveling. No telling until that time comes though! =)
