As I started receiving packages in the mail with All-in-One's and pocket diapers - my husband quickly realized cloth diaper was not only going to be a significant money savings as well as a positive impact on the environment, but it was going to be EASY! We've cloth diapered for a little over a year now and I'm proud to say my husband has changed MANY cloth diapers and has never complained! As the holidays approach I reflect on the many things to be thankful for when it comes to my cloth diapering decision...
- I am thankful that we have saved hundreds of dollars over the past year of not having to purchase disposables, wipes, and diaper rash creams.
- I am thankful for not having to haul out enormous bags of dirty disposables to the trash can every few days.
- I am most thankful for being able to work together as a team with my hubby to do something meaningful for our kids and important for our environment.

I love my cloth diapers too!! My husband is getting better with it. He much prefers the ones purchased or won in giveaways. My mom made us a bunch.
great post ! I love Cloth Diapering as well , Happy Thanksgiving !
We are grateful for the money savings, lesser impact on the environment and healthier choice for our son, too.
I'm glad your husband got on board with cloth diapering so quickly. That sure makes the decision even more rewarding!
Woo hoo! Those are great things to be thankful for! I'm so glad you took the plunge into the world of CDing!
I'm thankful there ARE other options besides plain prefolds and rubber cover and pins! (don't get me wrong, I love prefolds, but I also love my bGs and HHs!)
It is so fun to hear my husband talk about cloth diapers to his friends. You're right--cloth diapering as a couple and a team is something to be thankful for!
I have to agree, here, we talked it over on our long drive today and agreed that even though we have built up our stash (we think it's huge, maybe not?) through purchasing and a few freebies from contests, we've still saved money. Our next frontier, cloth wipes. Why haven't we taken the plunge? We gave away our diaper rash cream as well. My hubby was behind me before we started and pushed me into ordering, exhausted with a newborn, and he's so pro-cloth it's hilarious! Go dads!
I am thankful for cloth diapering too! I think my husband secretly is too, but would never admit how much money it has actually saved us and how much better it is for our son.
I'm also thankful for our cloth diapering experience! We started with our firstborn daughter only 3 months ago and plan to keep using our diapers for our other children when they come along, so I'm especially thankful for the money savings that will be!

Well said. We are thankful for all the savings and how much less of an impact we are making on the environment too! I was sure my husband would have the same reaction, but once I started explaining all the options I'd found he was all for it...though still nervous about the poops. He's come around on those too - probably because I handle the actual diaper clean up part :).

My fiance was against cloth diapers in the beginning (he did like that we were saving money though)..but then he sorta jumped in and would change her out of a CD but only to put her in a disposable (if I wasn't home)..then he would only change her if it was into a velcro closure CD. And now I'm proud to say he will change any diaper and then put her into any diaper. (snap, velcro, prefold, etc)
I too am thankful for cloth diapers.
Thank you for this post! It was inspiring to me, as I am going to be cloth diapering our little one who is due in March. I am nervous about my husband changing diapers: LOL!
