I save at least $30 a week using cloth!
Probably upwards of $15. I don't recall how much generic disposables cost (haven't used them in over five years), so it's totally a guess. But in a month, when the Beastling is born, I suspect it'd be closer to $30 a week.

I probably save about $15 to $20 a week minimum using cloth as I went on vacation and used sposies and needed 2x 30 diaper packs for the trip!
KaraD
Well, considering no more money comes out of our bank account, I consider every single diaper free money in our checking account. I last bought 'sposies almost a year ago and it was $10 for enough to last about half a week, so probably $20 a week (fyi I gave half the pack away after finishing our move.)
Thanks for the 'discussions' entry. I had a good laugh at a soon to be mom asking if the boy and girl diapers were any different from bum genius. If so, I've never noticed it!
I have been using cloth diapers since my baby was just a month old, and now 'sniff' she's 17 months!

16 months of cloth diapering...love a fluffy bum!
If I were to use sposies I'd use Tushies most likely since they're gel free and cotton. A week's worth would probably cost us $44 for a box of 120. So we're almost saving $50 a week if we used 10 diapers per day and if you count wipes too!
On facebook I commented on the "Topic: Is there a diff between the "boy" bum Genius Diapers and regular ones?" discussion (it'll be under Alycia Cove)
We used cloth part time starting from birth (by that I mean maybe once a day- we had no diapers small enough!) but went full time around 2 months old. We've now been using cloth 6 months total :-)

I have no idea how much I'd save. $10-$20?
about $10 a week or so I save.
I think I will save $60 per week at least!!!!!!!

I have bought all my diapers with you and we are only 5 months along :)
I imagine the savings per day varies depending on the size disposable diaper you would use. For me since I'll be diapering a newborn soon, I looked at diapering a newborn with approx. 12 changes a day. That's close to $3.30 per day in disposables.

I've been using cloth diapers for almost 2 years now.
I save at least $15-$20 or more per week because if I didn't use cloth diapers, I'd be paying for the more expensive yet chlorine free disposables.
I've been using cloth diapers for a couple months now and love them! I wish I would have started earlier. They are so cute!! I bet we save about $15/week and once the new baby is born sometime later this month...a whole lot more! Double sweet!
Answer: Not much currently LOL. Because I keep buying cloth diapers. But really if I wasn't buying anything because I really have enough in my stash I'd say at least $12 to $15.5 a week.
Well having two in diapers I save anywhere from 30-40 dollars a week using cloth.

Unfortunately due to my cloth diaper addiction I don't think I actually save money but it is better for the environment and this is my first child so I tell myself it will save me tons with the next child :)
We are not diapering yet, but I'm going to guess the savings will be between $25-$30 a week?

I save an average $25.oo per week cloth diapering my daughter.
I have 1 in diapers full time and 1 in diapers at night..My oldest wears a cloth night time pull up...
I dont know how much a week but I will say maybe $50.00 a month I have not paid for diapers in a long time...I love it....
I do get your news letter
I am a fan on facebook!!
My best guess-timate...$25/per week.
I have three kids (3 mo, 2 yrs, 4 yrs). My oldest still wears diapers at night. My middle child is at that stage where she wants to use the potty and constantly takes off her diapers and with disposables would toss them in the trash.
I use cloth wipes as well so that saves some, especially since my second born was caught multiple times 'stealing' disp wipes to clean or whatever.

Assuming an average of 12 diaper changes per day (for my soon-coming newborn), I estimate that we'll save about $15.50 per week. assumptions: initial cd investment= $500; disposibles = $35 for 150; and our little blueberry potty trains around 2.5?
Overall savings over the course of blueberry's diapering life is around $2000. Subsequent 'berries' will amount in extra savings. This is assuming I stick to the $500 initial investment & don't go nuts over fluffies!
We haven't started cloth diapering yet (I'm expecting in May), but we've estimated that when she's a newborn, we could save about $25.00 per week.

Depends on how you look at things - I save at least $20 per week by not using disposables, however, my obsession with cloth has gotten expensive and I probably get a new diaper twice per month, so all said and done I might only save $10 a week right now, but hopefully I can stop myself from buying more for a while so that I start to really see a difference in my savings!

A lot! I'd say atleast $15-$20...and that's if I were buying the "off brands" of disposables!
I probably save $15 a week. So $60 a month! Plus we don't pay for extra bags of garbage on garbage day anymore! Horray for cloth!

(answering the question) I was spending around $30 every other week for my 2nd child, so half od that would be $15, then add a baby, that would be about $25 every week, so I would say I am saving about $35 dollars every week!! WOW! I love it!

I think I save about 25 dollars a week cloth diapering.
I'm not sure how much we save since we haven't had the baby yet, and havent really started CDing. But I'm gonna go ahead and guess well save 20-40 bucks a week
I have no idea how much money we save a week...it has been so long since I bought disposables! Seems how when we DO (rarely) use them we use Seventh Generation, I would guess it would cost us between $10-$14 a week. But we are getting ready for another baby...which would make the cost $20-$28 a week. I think the $10 I budget a month towards cloth diapering (and then buys something ever 2-3 months) is just a drop in that bucket!!!
I think we probably save about $10/week using diapers...that adds up!

We have been using cloth diapers since our son was 3 days old, so a little over 3 months now.
I had to go look up the price of sposies, but it looks like about $14/week.
Since I've yet to start CDing (our first is due August), I'm guessing anywhere between $50-$75 per week. Just another reason we've decided to go the CD route!
I save $14 a week using cloth!!

I'm not saving any money yet because I just started, but I calculated recently and should break even in 8 months... I was just spending $7 per week on disposables.

That's a good question because I don't know how to answer--I wash using community laundry room and pay $1.75 per load (wash and dry). But I have two kids in diapers, and many of my diapers are being reused from the first kid. But whenever I do use disposables, I use the expensive "natural" kind. So it is too complicated and I've never bothered figuring it out; I'm just content to know that I like cloth better, it is better for my kids and the environment, it is cute, and I may be saving some money.
I think I save about $10 a week cloth diapering.
Let's see, my 13 month old is in size 6 diapers. If I were to buy a big pack of pampers cruisers from target that would be 100 diapers for $41.99.
So that's 20 days worth of diapers at 5 changes per day. ($41.99/100) x 5 = $2.10 per day.
$48 worth of prefolds (24). $76.5 worth of covers. Used the same size for the last 6 months (182.5 days) so at 6 diapers/day that's roughly $.68 for every 4 days. So $.17/day (two cents per diaper change).
Savings = $1.93/day!
Over the course of a year that's $704.45!
I have a boy too and they potty train later, right? :D
I have been cloth diapering for about a year.
I am starting CD this week, but I bet I'll save at least $1 each day by switching & I can't wait to see it start to pay off!
I imagine I am not saving any money since I am always buying more clothies!
the $20 a week I save not using sposies, goes toward more fun fluff purchases. ;)

i save about $30 a week on diapers
Before we started using cloth diapers we went through about a box of diapers a week with 2 children so, that's about $20-25 a week! It's been so nice not having to buy diapers! We haven't bought any disposables in over 2 months!! How great is that?
We probably save about 100.00 per week cloth diapering our triplets! We go through about 10 diapers per child per day, whew! Thaqnk goodness for my friend Jessi talking to me about cloth diapering and how easy it was to do, I will NEVER go back to disposables!

I've never really used disposables so it's hard to say how much I spend. I used them for the first few weeks of her life until we had about 9 diapers in our stash and then I just washed them A LOT. From those few weeks, I'd say I use about a package of pampers swaddlers (I liked them as far as disposables go) a week and they're around @20. I broke even for awhile, because I always bought pocket diapers so every few weeks I'd just buy a pocket diaper or two instead of a package of disposables.
Now, I'd say I'm saving, finally and I save about $15-$20 a week. But really, it's hard to say since I've never bought a package of disposable diapers myself. Never will, either.
