I used a dispensable system with non disposable inserts. The system does not work to keep the mess on just the insert so I have to wash the whole thing each time so I might as well was the insert too.
For traveling I am planning on using disposable- my daughter however says no and runs and gets a cloth diaper and tries to put it on herself.

We use GroBaby and GroVia when traveling. There is much less to pack and don't have to wash as often. I don't know what I would do without them!

Anonymous said...

It would depend on how far we are going... when we went to the UK we used disposables because of the distance involved - more than 18 hours flying, but if i were to go to say FL or PA and havea machine available I'd use my pockets all the way.

We don't often travel, but I think if we did I'd use a hybrid system for the convenience of having either cloth or disposable options.

My baby won't get here for another 5 weeks, but I am already thinking about how to travel with cloth. Assuming we could not do laundry while away, I think I would bring easily hand-washable covers (i.e., Flip) and disposable inserts like GroVia. If the trip was only 1-2 days long, I'd just bring my whole stash and wash when we get home!!! At this point, I also think I would be open to using sposies while traveling.
