I am expecting my first child early this september! I have already started on my diaper stash and after much research I plan on using a toilet sprayer to rinse out diapers before being washed. ( My bf is pretty keen on the idea as well... mainly because it involved a gadget!)

We dump as much as we can in the toilet, then scrape the rest out with toilet paper. Never used a sprayer, but I'm curious what all the fuss over them is about, so I hope I win this one!

DD is 6 mo old and breastfed & eats a tiny bit of babyfood each day. So far I'm still getting away without dunking, swishing, or plopping it out, but soon I'll need a diaper sprayer. So for now, I let the washing machine handle the poop.

My baby girl is 6 months and still only breastfeeding so there's no need for any special treatment yet! I just let the diapers soak for 15 minutes to an hour in the washing machine before starting the cycle and line dry them... no horrible stains yet! But I am scared for whats to come once I start her on solids.

My first son started solids, during the height of my morning sickness with baby #2, so my sweet husband would do all the dunking and swishing. I volunteered to buy a diaper sprayer, but he declined. Now my second son is starting solids, and Dad is still getting right in the yuckiness. If we had a sprayer I would do my fair share.

Most of the time we can just shake the pocket diaper or a liner for prefolds and be done. Otherwise we use a diaper sprayer or just dunk. For the newborn, I tend to dunk AND use the sprayer to get it all off.

Fluff Friday entry: I love gDiapers. They are really great because you can snap out the liner, and use the cover over and over (unless it gets soiled). They also offer both a cloth insert option and a disposable (biodegradable, flushable) option. I use the cloth inserts mostly, but the disposables are great for doubling up overnight for heavy wetters. My DS only has leaks in these diapers when mum fails to put them on properly, or when he has those poos that are going to explode no matter what diaper he's wearing. :)
