when i traveled i used some grovia biosoakers for the first part and then switched to cloth for the second half of the journey. that way i wasnt too loaded down with stinky dirty diapers for the drive home.

I'll be honest, if its a long or far vacation we use disposables. But if its a weekend we bring our covers, flips and econobums, and use the flushable inserts. We only have to bring home covers to wash!

We've only traveled to family for a few days (never washed elsewhere). So, we've used pretty much the same as what we have at home (prefolds, a few fitteds and AIOs). I just use a little more PUL (usually all wool at home)

I haven't traveled yet since I started using cloth diapers but I may cave and use disposables while flying and then switch back to cloth once we're at the beach! If I wasn't traveling alone I would probably use cloth but since it's just me and my little guy, I'll use a few disposables and call it a day! =)

When flying, we use disposables because we often can't spare the room in our luggage. When taking trips in the car, it's a toss-up between our regular BG 3.0s or disposables. Lately, it's been cloth. Once the new baby arrives this summer, probably disposables! LOL nanflanagan@hotmail.com

We just recently went on vacation for four weeks, and I pretty much brought all my diapers with me (they had their own bag). We have four of the Flip covers and use the disposable inserts, and they turned out to be our favorite for the trip. We were always on the go, visiting family and switching between two grandparents' houses at night. It just wasn't practical to bring all that laundry around everywhere. Disposables tend to give my son a nasty rash, so this was a nice alternative.

Stephanie said...

I'd like to CD'er while we're there, but I worry about if it's "worth it" and if it'll be a pain. I'm also considering possibly using the disposable inserts for our Flips, but I'm not sure how well they will hold up absorbancy wise. I'm loving reading through everyone's responses on what they do!
