I think that I would prefer snap closures because of the durability of them. I currently have hook and loop because the diaper I have doesn't come with the snaps. However, I haven't tried any diaper with snaps so I can't say for certain if the lack in adjustability would be a problem.

I prefer snaps, because Carson has figured out how to get velcro dipes off! Problematic, because we usually leave him in just a diaper!! Though I do love the gro baby velcro, he hasn't figure that out!

Snapping diapers are generally easier to care for and stay looking new longer.

I would like Aplix (if I ever win!) because I think it makes the fit so much better.

One more for the entry books. I use both aplix and snaps. Both have pros and cons. I love aplix for the snug fit I can get very easily. And the snaps are nice for curious little guys who like to explore.

I like velcro on smaller babies- for an easy fit, and snaps on toddlers to make it harder for them to strip themselves naked.

Snaps because my 1 year old could probably undo the velcro.
